Vintage cabine volledig gemoderniseerd, geweldig strand, uitzicht op het meer

The Little Stone House, gelegen in de kleine gated community van Elks Point, werd gebouwd in 1927 met graniet uit de opgraving van de nabijgelegen Cave Rock Tunnel. Hoewel het alle charme van een hut uit de jaren 1920 heeft behouden, werd dit bergretraite in 2008 volledig gerenoveerd met moderne voorzieningen en won het de "Best Historic Preservation" -prijs van Mountain Home Magazine.

Winter of zomer, het Little Stone House is comfortabel en uitnodigend. De prachtige stenen open haard maakt de gezellige woonkamer zo ontspannend na uw dag op de hellingen. In de warmere maanden biedt dit charmante huis verschillende buitenruimtes om van het prachtige landschap te genieten. Boven zijn er twee slaapkamers met ensuite badkamers - een met een grote marmeren douche en de andere met het originele clawfoot bad dat u terugvoert naar een eenvoudiger tijd terwijl u geniet en kijkt uit het dakraam hierboven. De slaapbank op de zolder is de perfecte plek voor de kinderen om te slapen. Twee kleine dekken naast de slaapkamer en zolder zijn ontspannende plekken voor uw ochtendkoffie. Er is ook een halve badkamer beneden. De prachtig vernieuwde en volledig uitgeruste keuken is voorzien van marmeren toonbanken en een koperen gootsteen en de eetkamer biedt plaats aan zes personen. Het achterdek, in de schaduw van hoge dennen, heeft een gefilterd uitzicht op het meer en de eettafel buiten biedt plaats aan acht personen.

De Elk Point-gemeenschap heeft een groot strand, dat je met de auto of vijf minuten lopen kunt bereiken. Het strand beschikt over een zwemgedeelte met touw met een verankerd zwem- en duikplatform, een beachvolleybalveld en een hoefijzerbak. Dubbele en enkele kajaks, staand paddleboard, fietsen, waterspeelgoed, parasols en verschillende maten reddingsvesten zijn beschikbaar voor uw gebruik.

Slechts enkele minuten verwijderd zijn Heavenly Ski Resort (met skiën van wereldklasse, evenals een grote verscheidenheid aan zomeractiviteiten) en Edgewood Golf Course, de thuisbasis van de Celebrity Golf Classic. De wereldberoemde Tahoe Rim Trail (wandelen en fietsen) en Flume Trail (fietsen) zijn in de buurt te bereiken. Een supermarkt met volledige service ligt op 1,6 km afstand en u hoeft niet eens de snelweg op te gaan.

Very charming historic home renovated with all modern conveniences. Beautifulneighborhood and great location. Kayaks, bikes, beach chairs and toys included for use at the community's private beach. Lake Tahoe has so much to enjoy for both young and old. Great place for a vacation or weekend get away.

Absolutely magical stay here with my husband for my ten year anniversary. We brought our two toddlers and two friends of the family and had possibly the best vacation ever! The house was gorgeous and so special…I’ve stayed in Tahoe a million times and all the houses feel the same but this one is on another level. The private neighborhood is so good for peace and quiet, and the quick walk to the private beach cannot be beat (especially when little ones are involved). We grilled out back and ate meals outside most nights, and the rest of the time went to all the great spots close to the house. 20/10 I will be trying to stay here every time I come back now.

Communication with the property manager was excellent. She is super responsive even when she was traveling.The house could have used a little more house cleaning, there were cobwebs Everywhere. There were so many on the master bedroom fan we didn't even want to turn it on, on every light fixture. all over balcony furniture and decks/balaconies weren't clean.Also there is No A/C upstairs. I run hot so this was challenging.Definitely appreciated having a private beach, cars were lined up for miles trying to access the public beach. All of the amenities available- kayak, bikes and such were nice although are stay was short so we didn't get to use them.house was restored beautifully inside and out.

This house was everything!

We can not express enough how much we enjoyed the little stone house! This cabin is absolutely charming. The location is amazing, close to great shops and restaurants. Nancy is the best host ever- great communication and the cabin had everything we needed and so much more. Nancy is beyond generous with all the beach toys, wagon, chairs, towels- everything! Our boys loved riding their bikes through the beautiful neighborhood. We were there for July 4th and everything was perfect- amazing fireworks and having access to the private beach was so great as we had zero crowds to compete with.I really can’t express how much we adored the cabin- so much character and charm! Highly recommend-We have been to Tahoe 3 times now and the little stone house was by far our favorite! Thank you Nancy

We loved the Little Stone House!

The Little Stone house was the perfect weekend get away for our family and 3-year old niece. We really enjoyed the historic house with modern luxuries. It has a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook. We enjoyed the backyard too with a little view of the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood which feels private and safe. The only issue is the neighbors very clearly display “renters not welcome” signs in their windows which makes you feel a tiny bit unwelcome. But it’s easy to ignore and they keep themselves. It’s an awesome location with a short drive to the nearest Safeway and only 7 mins from heavenly village. The little stone house was very kid friendly with an area for kids to watch movies and play. Overall a very special place and we look forward to our next stay!

Great Charming Home

Romantic Stone cottage get away

We loved staying in this stone house. It's in a quiet neighborhood with acesable walkign trails and access to the beach. The owner was super helpful and takes loving care of the home. We will come again for sure!

Relaxing Tahoe Getaway

Its hard to imagine a better Tahoe getaway. The Little Stone House has a cozy, Lodge feel. Very quiet! Beautiful tree-filtered views of the lake. Spotlessly clean, and well stocked for anything one might need to enjoy the outdoors or cook a delicious meal. We stayed there during a particularly warm spell, and the Little Stone House was pleasantly cool. Grateful for the garage, as this seemed to be (large) pinecone dropping season!

Super host, super property

The little stone house is the perfect place for a Tahoe vacation. It is ocated so close to many wo derful activities, with its own private beach, and has all the touches of home to make it perfect. But what really outs it over the top is super host Nancy - she is avaialable, helpful, and encouraging. What a wonderful experience. I can' wait to return!

A wonderful getaway!

All of the other reviews talk about how wonderful the home is, and they're right! We enjoyed the views from the loft, and left a few puzzles for the collection. I wanted to address the accessibility concerns from another review. Stairs are a problem for me, but I loved this home and figured we'd make it work somehow. Here's what worked for me - I used a cane on the stairs out front, because there's no railing. You could also go through the garage and use the railing onto the back porch. It was totally worth the extra challenge.

Excellent Getaway with Private Beach

The perfect spot to get away for a few days, or weeks, or months...! The Little Stone House was cozy, quaint and in a perfect, quiet little community. The private beach was the definite gem, as we had it all to ourselves almost every day we were there. Nancy was a very gracious host and was always quick to respond to any questions we may have had. We will be doing our best to visit again as soon as we can! There are not enough wonderful things to say about this house. A true gem!

A small part of me wants to tell everyone how you shouldn't come here... just so i can enjoy booking this amazing gem whenever I wanted. But alas, i will tell the truth: it was perfect! Worth Every Penny

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the summer. The house is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you need inside the house and for a trip to the private beach less than a 5 minutes away. Our host Nancy went out of her way to be accommodating and was quick to text back if I had any questions. She clearly takes pride in this property and it shows. She's thought of everything to make your stay comfortable as well as informed on anything you might want to do. The house is perfectly located away from the madness in town in a quiet neighborhood but is just a quick drive to get in the thick of everything. We made great memories in our short time there and would definitely return.

Perfect Stay for our Family

The Little Stone House was perfect for our family getaway celebrating our daughter's high school graduation. It had plenty of room for all four of us. The view from the back deck was a favorite for morning coffee and sunsets. The private beach was walkable and super convenient to drive and park when bringing more beach equipment. A wonderful trip!
