'Booked this property as an overnight stay while visiting the surrounding areas. On arrival we were greeted by the Bartender who showed us up to our room ( or so we thought). 'Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+'

'Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. '

'Chapel of Barras is a great place to stay! The room was spacious with a huge closet and an en suite bathroom. Breakfast was a huge Scottish breakfast with haggis, black pudding, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, plus fried eggs and toast! Also, coffee, juice, scones, and some other stuff too - very filling! The hosts are very friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge of the area. Location is great - out in the countryside, nice and quiet, but not too far from towns and the seaside.'
