'A very friendly place to stay'

'We had a lovely stay at Firecastle. Kildare is a magical area with lots to do and see in walking distance. The room we stayed in was beautiful and well appointed, breakfast was delicious and the staff were all really nice. I highly recommend Firecastle.'

'Wat opviel was de vriendelijkheid van het personeel, zeer service gericht en compleet. Voldoende voorzieningen in de omgeving. Een aanrader dus.'

'Avoid! We stayed mid-Sept (2026) and were excited to try an adventure of a room 'in a pub'. It was a horrific experience and we departed early. We (3 women) had the courtyard triple room (#23). As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a dampness and a strong smell of mildew. We thought heat would help but the radiator would not turn on; we went to the bar staff (part of the problem is that there is no on-site manager to resolve issues) and the bar staff told us the heat is not turned on until...

'Clean, newly renovated rooms. Very friendly staff. Good food.'

'Mooie ligging, gezellige b&b, vriendelijke uitbaters'

'Leuk hotel dat qua ligging perfect ligt. '

'Clean room, friendly town'

'Very simple and pleasant place to stay. Our room and the whole facility we saw were impeccably clean. Beds were comfy. Room was comfortably warm (even tho it was howling outside with freezing rain pelting down in sheets!). We would stay here again happily. Additional note: I suspect Tullamore is overlooked as a town to stay and explore. It’s a cool *old* town that retains its character. Blue Eyes Bakery became a favorite spot for us. Excellent food/pastries. And absolutely *superb* coffee!'

'Was even zoeken, leuke kroeg en kamer niet in alle beste staat, maar voor kort verblijf lekker basic.'

'Irish hospitality at its best.Dinner and breskfast were excellent the staff helpful and knowledgeable and the room spacious and comfortable.'

'Nice place. Opening the room with the display can be a challenge. '

'Schone mooie kamer'

'beautiful classic setting, in close proximity of the city and the Aviva stadium. Rooms are compact, but smartly done. Everything you need for a short stay. Rooms are single glazed, and therefore quite fresh at night.'
