Cozy Cottage on Quiet Lake

Take a break from the everyday hustle and bustle at this beautiful, private, lakefront cottage. Spend your days exploring the nearby trails or relaxing at the water - swimming, fishing, or lounging with a book out on the private dock. You’re only 1.5km away from the Heritage Trail where you can easily access miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails. Lots of space to gather with friends and family - large patio with a BBQ or a lovely eat-in kitchen.

Looking for a winter getaway? No problem! This is a four season cottage with a wood burning stove.

The cottage was well supplied and amenities were plentiful all the way down to the phone charger. (which I had forgot mine at home). Ashley responded promptly to any questions that I had. The cottage was very clean and modern but still had a cottage feel. Beautiful views from the deck as tress where just starting to change to their autumn colours. Nice to have the furnace automatically come on as the night time temp dropped to 2’c.Very peaceful area and a short drive to town if needed. We visited the Eagles Nest lookout in Bancroft. Would highly recommend a stay at Ashley’s.

My family and I stayed for two weeks. The cottage is beautiful and the location is lovely and quiet. The cottage had everything we needed and we greatly appreciated the laundry facilities so we didn't have to pack so much. The owner was available when needed and very friendly. Lots of kayaking and relaxing. Two beautiful beaches close by for swimming and a large lawn for games.

Good location and house had all we needed. The only issue was that it was over 35C for 2 or 3 days and there was no A/C or fans. Fortunately we brought our own but I think i would suggest the owners have fans for unprepared guests.

perfect getaway

We had such an amazing stay! Soo private, soo peaceful. Awesome accomodations, exactly as described. Very clean, cozy, mostly modern and soo well equipped, you have everything you could want or need. Excellent communication with the host. Even some friendly dog visitors came to welcome us!This property was perfect, the lake was amazing and we enjoyed ourselves 1000% If I had to look for a criticism, the pillows could be refreshed, but honestly, thats looking for something wrong. The black flies were bad but screened room to the rescue! we will be back for sure! Thanks Ashley! we had the best time

Great stay, great location

We took my 95 year old mother for a short vacation to this cottage and it was perfect. Other than 2 steps up (which we knew about in advance) everything was on one level and the bed in the spare room was low enough for her to easily get in and out of. The lake is beautiful and we appreciated having the screened in porch to keep out the June mosquitoes. There was a nesting pair of loons that hung around in the bay. Only 1.5 hours up to Algonquin visitor centre and the accessible Spruce Board Walk trail and we also stopped for icecream at Kawartha Dairy in Bancroft. Ashley was very responsive to any questions

Paradise

This place is paradise. It's on a quiet lake with clean water. The kids and I enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating. The cottage itself is lovely and has everything you need except for food and drinking water. The sunroom with the propane firepit is a game changer. Would definitely visit again, so serene.

Waterfront experience

Beautiful place, very clean property right on the waterfront.Unfortunately the weather was very cold and windy and even had some flurries so could not enjoy the outdoor.No instructions available on check-in or check-out. No instructions on how to use the wood stove.

The cottage was wonderful! It was clean and cozy and stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. We loved the porch with the propane fireplace. BBQ was clean and easy to use. Beds were comfortable. Ashley was great to deal with. We would come again!

This cottage has the loveliest view of a sort of wetland area at first that turns into a pristine quiet lake in the distance. We saw blue jays and red squirrels and chickadees and in the water muskrats at dusk. It was so beautiful. The cottage is also very well equipped, and Ashley answered every question very promptly. I would definitely go back here. It is so private and peaceful. The screen room with the firetable was wonderful.

This cottage is wonderful, clean, everything you'd ever need is already there. great screened area with a propane fireplace, with comy seating all round. fabulous outside deck, and fire pit down by the lake.Love waking up to let my doodle out and she runs right in for swim. she loved it, and so did I. Terrific Cottage and Host

We very much enjoyed ourselves at Ashley's cottage. Exactly as described, the cottage was spacious for the four of us, very clean, cozy and nicely designed. We especially loved the screened-in deck room with the centre fireplace. Great lake for kayaking and relaxing on the dock. Swimming is good if you boat out a bit for clearance. The host was very responsive and accommodating.

Relaxation Heaven

We stayed for 4 days, although it rained for half of the stay the covered porch was incredible and a very relaxing environment to enjoy the rain, play some cards and just enjoy.
