Cottage in the Oaks is een gerestaureerde historische cottage uit eind 1800

Het huisje is gelegen op ons terrein, dat 2 1/2 hectare oude Live Oak-bomen heeft. Het ligt ver weg van een wijk, met veel privacy. De 660 vierkante voet huisje is volledig gerenoveerd in februari 2019 en heeft een volledige keuken met een full size fornuis en koelkast en heeft alle voorzieningen die u nodig heeft, moet u besluiten om de grote restaurants te slaan, en verblijf in om te koken. Er is een schiereiland dat meerdere taken heeft als eet- en werkstation.
De woonkamer heeft een queensize uittrekbare slaapbank (met een gelschuim matras) en veel leeslampjes. De slaapkamer heeft een queen size bed en een volledige kast (inclusief hangers), de ene badkamer is een grote kamer, met een inloopdouche en een wasmachine en droger.
Toiletartikelen zijn onder andere shampoo en conditioner, zeep, handdoeken en washandjes. Extra als je een voorwerp, tandenborstel, tandpasta en scheermesjes vergeet. Er is ook een grote strijkplank en strijkijzer voor uw gemak. De afgeschermde veranda is ideaal om uw dag te beginnen met een kopje koffie of om uw dag af te sluiten met een glas wijn, met uitzicht op een uitgestrekte tuin met prachtige live eiken. We hebben een vos die elke nacht op bezoek gaat, uilen en een pleathora van vogels. We hebben ook enkele ongewone bezoekers gehad, een schaap was een tijdje op bezoek totdat we het naar een beter huis hadden verhuisd!
Wij zijn gelegen op 30 minuten van het centrum van Charleston, 15 minuten naar West Ashley, 15 minuten naar Cummins, Bosch, 20-25 naar Boeing (luchthaven) en 20 minuten naar de nieuwe Volvo-fabriek
Het strand ligt op ongeveer 45 minuten afstand en we zullen strandhanddoeken en -stoelen leveren.
We hopen echt dat uw verblijf aangenaam en zorgeloos zal zijn. Charleston staat bekend om zijn gastvrijheid!
We zijn zo weinig of zo veel beschikbaar als u nodig heeft!

Incredibly beautiful and spotless.

If you are looking for a respite thats beautiful, clean, and quiet, this is the one. Summerville has great food and you can do your laundry if needed. Definitely the cleanest most beautiful vrbo we've stayed in.

Sweet Southern Retreat

This rental was a sweet surprise. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. The property is a feast of beautiful flowers and plants, birds, and grand old oaks. The cottage is full of Southern charm. The owners’ added extra touches made our stay so very comfortable. I can’t wait to go back!!

Even though we visited during hurricane Debby, the house was high and dry. Our Host kept us informed of the local weather issues and what roads were safe. We were able to have a great time and did not mind getting wet.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Having never visited Charleston truly...this was the perfect place to stay! My husband and I had celebrated our 10th wedding Anniversary 2 years ago in Savannah. And after appreciating the architecture and the Beauty of that city, we decided to sit our normal "Birthday Celebrations Week," out from taking the camper this time and playing in the woods to seek and learn and see what Charleston was about. Now saying all that, having never been we were seeking more a solitude get-a-way to retrieve back to after a long City day of exploring...and Marianne and David had provided exactly just that! A peaceful retreat! The cottage had everything you could think of as far as essentials, and it was kept very clean and tastefully decorated. I loved the front porch being able to unwind and enjoy the views of The Live Oaks. And upon departure, we were able to meet both Marianne and David, and they were such a lovely couple! Perfect cottage

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I with all the comforts of home. Marianne the host was amazing and quite insight on where to eat, hike and what beaches to go. Summerville is a year trip for us and as long as the cottage is open this is where we will stay!!

This was the perfect place for our week visit. The property is beautiful and quiet. The house was clean and met our needs. I slept great on the mattress. Simply The Best

From the moment you drive up you’ll just want to slow down and enjoy this lovely property and owners! We are only sorry our stay was so short and busy that we didn’t have more time to relax on this unique and beautiful property! Perfect little cottage

The cottage in the oaks was simply perfect! Hidden away in a grove of old oak trees and surrounded by azaleas and cameilas, the site was so pretty and restful. We felt we were in a world to ourselves. The privacy was excellent. Yet, we were convenient to everything. The pretty historic area of Summerville was just around the corner, and plantation row along the Ashley River was just a few minutes away. The host was super nice and accommodating. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for privavcy and convenience!

Serenity cottage

This little cottage was spotless absolutely inside and out absolutely enchanting 1800’s little home but you walk inside and it is completely contemporary, clean and pristine and just exactly the way you want a brand new home these days everything was comfortable. Everything that was needed was available, the owners were very hospitable and always responded quickly. It was in a beautiful setting in Summerville just 2 miles from the wedding B&B venue we were going to attend and it was just lovely beautiful large live oak Trees, beautiful camellias, and this spring and summer the promise of an abundance of flowering shrubs, and plants that are currently dormant, but I just know it’s gonna be breathtaking , we enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to having a good reason to return again so we can come back during warmer months and stay in this sweet little college when all is in full bloom.

Coastal exploration

We checked out every beach in the Charleston area along with historic neighborhoods in Charleston. Found great restaurants to eat seafood, played pickleball in Summerville and enjoyed historic architecture in Summerville. The house was in a great location for us about a half hour to 40 minutes to Charleston and area beaches and 10 minutes to pickleball courts and beautiful downtown Summerville.

This property was a lovely little cottage tucked away in a very quiet corner with space to breathe.... all in town and close to the things we wanted to do! Best stocked place I've ever stayed. Comfortable bed, nice neighborhood, grocery store nearby. Definitely would recommend to others.

Everything we hoped for and more

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect and beautiful. Very clean. The owner provided extras that we may have needed. My 3 year old enjoyed the pond, catching frogs and the swing in the front yard. We had a cat visit us a few evenings. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Quaint Charleston Cottage

This was one of the best houses I've rented in a long time. It had everything you could need, such as coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tea, and kitchen appliances. The grounds of this house are like something out of a fairytale. There was a small pond with lily pads, a garden, large mossy trees, lots of abundant flowers, and a well. It is a classic Charleston home. The exterior of the house is so peaceful. It has a large, screened in front porch with two rocking chairs and a small outdoor couch. My party and I throughly enjoyed this porch and took advantage of having it! We sat out on the porch listening to the cicadas chirp and the owls hoot. The interior of the house is calming and very well decorated. The couch is comfortable and the bed is as well. Everything was wonderful, clean, and well taken care of. The bathroom was spacious with a nice washing machine and dryer. The kitchen had all the amenities you would need to cook or make any meal. The house even stayed a cool temperature in the hot months. Another great bonus to this house is the visitor not listed in the description! A little Calico cat visits the back porch some evenings, so that was a fun surprise! The owners of this house are very polite and kind. They are as involved as you want to be. I highly recommend this house if you are considering staying in Charleston!
