The hosts at the property are super friendly and helpful. They are always available when needed via phone call. Even after my departure I had forgotten some important documentation papers in my room and the hosts contacted me directly to make arrangements with me to send it back to me. I really appreciate this service as it proves once again the good heart of the hosts and how trustful they are. I will surely pay a visit again in the future🥰☺️👍

We had an amazing stay at this property! The room was impeccably clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the amenities were top-notch. The only drawback was the limited parking nearby, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite that, I highly recommend this wonderful property for a fantastic overall experience!

Ive sent several emails with pictures showing the unsafe room conditions at the 1898 suites. I was unable to stay in the room since the lock on the second door did not work and only had a wood bench to cover the entrance which I did not feel safe with. I have video footage as well if you need to review any further documentation. sent a couple emails to Orbitz with pictures and videos and I am still awaiting my refund...

Guesthouse super agradável!
O apartamento é incrível! Peguei um apartamento com sacada e banheiro privativo e é simplesmente perfeito! Estava tudo muito limpo e cheiroso. Existe uma cozinha e uma sala de uso compartilhado que é linda e tbm muito limpa. Já queria morar lá haha! De maneira geral, o lugar é excepcional e fica pertinho de uma estação de metrô. Ficaria novamente e indico pra outras pessoas.

My stay was horrible. The room looked nothing like the pictures. There was a fake window that shone light into my room from another room. I could not stand in the bathroom. The shower had no hot water. The air conditioner did not work. There was no headboard on the bed and the wall was covered in guck

Bad experience. Definitely won't stay here again. The place claims to be a "hotel" and we booked it because it said it had a front desk and also had a luggage care service. However, the place is actually a huge apartment converted into a "hotel" and there is never anyone inside the facilities to provide a kind of front desk and the suitcases were actually left in the living room of the place, without any care and vulnerable for any guest to take them or open them. During the time I stayed, the main door lost power and we couldn't get in. That day we called by phone, wrote by WhatsApp and contacted the "hotel" by Expedia and received no response. It wasn't until the next day that they wrote us an apology. That day we entered thanks to other guests who knew that there was a key under the mat. (extremely insecure) The room is too uncomfortable and the photographs are obviously professional and show the place much more beautiful than it is. But for the price we were paying we didn't give it any importance. However, it is important to know that it is not possible to have an open suitcase in the room floor, you can only open your suitcase if you place it on the bed. It is really very small, to the point of being very uncomfortable.

It is important to clarify that there is no where the information about have or not a front desk. And we are not a hotel, we are a guesthouse, what means different type of service between one and another. And, yes, we do have local to store the luggage.We make a hard work getting in touch with all the guests before their arrival. Our communication is very clear about do not have front desk, about the codes and about our remote customer service.Unfortunately we had this issue with the door and could not do anything except wait wait for the company to provide the maintenance. Once again, our sincerly apologize. Even with this issue, the guesthouse is entire monitored and we have never had any problem with security.We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience. Home suites 1898 no es un hotel y super incomodo
El hotel tiene una calificacion de booking de 8.8 no es lo que parece las habitaciones super pequeñas, el baño es minimo no tiene closet, ni tv en la habitacion, la ventana de mi habitacion la numero 8 no podia abrirla ninguna de las 2 ventanas y la puerta para salir al balcon se me quedo en la mano, lo unico positivo del hotel es que la señora que es la encargada es muy amable pero no vale la pena hospedarse es muy caro para lo que es el hotel y no es hotel

Les photos ne sont pas représentatives des chambres offertes. Oui la chambre que nous avions louée correspondait à la description faite, mais nous ne savions pas que celle-ci était tellement petite que la toilette était dans la douche et que nous ne pouvions pas ouvrir nos valises autrement que sur le lit. De plus, à notre arrivée, il n'y a pas eu d'électricité de la journée et nous avions beaucoup de difficulté à faire fonctionner l'air climatisée de notre chambre. Il n'y avait personne sur place pour nous aider à régler ce problème.

We booked the double economy room... beware. It is absolutely nothing like advertised. There was no room for our small cases let alone the 2 of us. The pillows were cushions and the “private bathroom” was toilet in the shower, in the room. No privacy from the other person whatsoever and it was filthy. We requested to upgrade to another room which was done so with ease. However the second room we entered had not been cleaned. There were hairs all through the linen, on the shower floor, walls, the towels were hung up but stained and the soap from the previous person was still in the basin. We requested to move but not before having to take photos and send to the manager to prove the filth. He agreed and allowed us to move once again but we were then told we could only stay in that room 3 of our booked 4 nights and had to pay a €25 cleaning fee! What exactly the cleaning fee is for we aren’t sure?? We tried to discuss this and come to another arrangement but the manager would not oblige. We were so upset, it definitely impacted our stay. Sure enough, on the final night we had to pack up and move to another shoebox sized room with dirty towels. How this place has such good reviews I will never know but all I can do is recommend you look at other places in Lisbon before booking here. For the price, it was an absolutely terrible experience. Never ever again.
