One of the best hotel experiences ever. The check-in staff was amazing, the stay was great, and the overall experience was splendid. I would definitely recommend everybody to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Mama Shelter. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location for metro, buses or walk into old town. Breakfast was a good way to start the day. Plenty of choice and evening meals in restaurant were excellent. Perfect stay . Thank you

We stayed here for about 8 nights, and had an excellent experience! Between the great customer service, aesthetics, comfort, food, and location, would recommend to all. - The aesthetics inside were lovely, and food was great. - Had a very nice rooftop bar and outside seating out front, offering a variety of options when needing to relax or waiting for things to open in the morning. - Bedroom/bedding was incredibly comfortable - The stand out of everything though was the excellent customer service. The people there were wonderful, and made our experience excellent. Big shout out and thanks to a few; Ana, Cláudio, Joel, and Sergio! They made a good visit great with positive and thoughtful customer service/interactions.

Located near a couple of metro stations, the hotel is great. It's very nice inside and the rooms are lovely (and a pretty standard size for Europe). It's also very quiet.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Mama Shelter Lisboa, we loved everything about it! The hotel is cool and funky, the staff are lovely and the pizzas in the restaurant are amazing. We had a small Mama and it was plenty big enough for us, it was clean and quiet. The location is near to Rato station, a very easy 5 min walk. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Cooles Hotel im modernen Design. Standort ist OK - 30 Minuten Walk ins Zentrum. Jedoch sind die Zimmer etwas klein mit wenig Platz um den Koffer und Klamotten zu verstauen.

This property is obviously a work of love; quirky, fun, lean and staff is amazing! Food fantastic in restaurant. 3 blocks away from Ho/Ho bus terminal. It is a bit off the beaten path but great! Checkin and checkout was efficient. Would definitely visit again!

The staff at Mama Shelter were really great. Warm, welcoming and accommodating! They even helped us out when we had brought the wrong plug adapters. The Mama Medium rooms were great, big and comfortable. Only thing I’d say was the air con was a tad noisy and the door to the toilet was very thin and not very “sound proof” so you have to be very comfortable with who you’re sharing with! The roof top bar was our main highlight! I wish my garden could look like that.

We stayed at Mama Shelter for 5 night. The location is very close to the city center. You can walk from the hotel to various restaurants and historic sites. We were able to view the Marques Pombal statue from our room. Our room was spacious for 2.

Excellent service, staff is attentive, helpful, and friendly. Dinning room is cozy and food options are great. Loved the breakfast menu and the pizzas cooked in the exposed brick oven and evening DJ. The rooftop bar is fun and the view is great. I was also greatly surprised by Mama’s detail for my birthday, cake and fruit. Thank you Mama.

Honestly can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast very satisfying. Roof top has super views with a bar and comfortable seating. The room was so so comfortable and clean. One last recommendation - try their pizzas. They are delicious.

Liked having the restaurant which served pizza. Liked toiletries. Comfortable bed. Loud pounding until around 01:30. Hallways had a strange odor. Liked needing a key card for elevator.

Really lovely vibe to the hotel and rooftop bar was great with a dj and incredible strawberry daiquiris! Bed was probably the comfiest I have ever slept in and the shower was amazing! Didn’t want to leave! All staff were very friendly and helpful :)

My partner and I stayed at Mama Shelter for our anniversary trip to Lisbon, and wow wow wow! Such a lovely hotel filled with lovely staff. We were given extra drinks vouchers for our special trip, and found a very tasty dessert plate wishing us a happy anniversary in our room at check in. Such a personable experience. Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we couldn't recommend Mama Shelter Lisbon enough. We have already told friends to visit the restaurant/roof top bar when they visit in May. Mama loves us, and we love Mama!

Nice area, easy for the metro. But the walls are paper thin and other residents aren’t so considerate - I was situated next to a big group of young Americans who thought it was ok to chat right outside my door from 12-3am.

Staying at Mama’s was an absolute lovely experience - my partner and I arrived earlier than check in due to an early flight and the staff kindly took our bags so we could grab something to eat and managed to get a room ready for us before our planned check in time without us asking, which was so kind. The bathroom was spotless and the room was fresh and clean (I have anxiety around cleanliness and I slept and washed with comfort here). Two metro stations are within a 5ish min walking distance and the 28 tram is a 20ish min walk to either side of the line. Everywhere is pretty walkable from here and there are some incredible restaurants nearby - mamas pizza is pretty top tier though!! I’ll definitely be staying at mama hotels on future trips. The only thing I’d flag is that during rush hour you can hear a bit of traffic outside but it’s not that big of a deal - you’ll find that anywhere in a big city. Defo a good value for money hotel and such a great vibe for my trip.

Unfortunately on arrival the room allocating card machine wasn’t working properly, then the room toilet flush wasn’t cutting off, not the best start but the staff moved us to another room when we asked and provided complementary drinks. Sadly the new room had water bloat from what we presume is a leaky roof into the wall paint work on the bathroom wall and outside our room a little damp patch of carpet. At the end of our stay we found ants across the bedroom carpet and across our stuff, coming from by the window. Baring in mind there were no opening windows, but next to roof terrace so a crack/broken seal somewhere? Which we let the hotel staff know. Real positives were that the room was quiet, no slamming doors late at night, the TV was large and well placed and had plenty for English language options with new and old movies for all ages and the beds comfortable and adjustable quiet air-con. The restaurant downstairs has a lovely vibe, attentive bar staff and the theming is fun. The hotel is also only 5 min walk from Metro Station Rato and a supermarket across the street which is handy as you have a fridge in your room.

The best thing about the property is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. They even got me a surprise birthday cake. I wasnt expecting that. The lady who checked us in brilliant. The property in itself very unique and beautiful. Good breakfast , great ambience in the bar and restaurant too. Highly recommend this place.
