Enorme boerderij en cottage met 8 suites, 8 open haarden, 5 spa-baden, 10 badkamers, glas-in-loodramen, commerciële kelderbar met stenen open haard, zonneterras, keuken van chef-kok, serre met kamerbrede ramen, bubbelbad , weelderige tapijtengordijnen, oosterse tapijten, 100% katoenen lakens en nieuwe matrassen. Gelegen op een 10 hectare grote weide met onbelemmerde toegang tot 400.000 hectare bos ooit genoten door dichters Kipling en Frost. Trakteer uzelf op een zeldzame combinatie van eenzaamheid en comfort voor het schepsel. Geniet van de beste vleeswaren en kaas van de boerderij, ambachtelijke brouwerijen en van boerderij tot tafel restaurants in de VS (eerst in elk ervan). Geniet van het beste landschap en skiën aan de oostkust. Bezoek tientallen topwinkels in het nabijgelegen Manchester. Als u wilt, blijft u gewoon thuis om te rusten en te verjongen. A Great Stay!

This house was perfect for our large group to get away for the weekend. It's quiet and set back from the road, and offers all sorts of activities with the pool, hot tub, board games, ping pong table, and more. The house itself is really unique and beautiful — lots of character. We'll definitely book here again if we return to Vermont!

Wonderful

Great 3 generation family vacation. Amazing kitchen and fun barroom area for the kids on rainy days. Kids loved the hot tub and pool. Lots to do in the area. Only wish the access to trails in back was better cleared but we all had a blast.

Large house some issues

Large quirky home with multiple living areas. The home is old and in a remote area so mice and bugs are an issue. The home needs better cleaning and some maintenance. Kitchen floor was quite dirty and faucets in kitchen and 1 bath tub did not work correctly. At least 3 BR fireplaces did not work. The maintenance man was responsive and did remove dead mice in traps and attempt to fix faucets and fireplaces however more work needs to be done. We enjoyed our time here.

Great stay in the fall

Very nice - huge - house for our reunion with friends. Six couples - every couple had a great bedroom with private bath, and plenty of space to get together (we did not even have a chance to use the downstairs bar area). Great fireplace outside the house allowed all of us to sit around the evening fire and enjoy the fall foliage. There are several great trails withing 5-10 minutes drive and lakes/ponds where you can do fishing ...

MAGNIFICENT

We had the BEST stay at this special property. Very close to Magic and Bromley. The home is full of beautiful space, sits on a gorgeous property with a fire pit, hot tub and woods to explore, and was pristine. We had 14 people, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Bonus: En suite bathrooms with each bedroom, PLENTY of plates/cups/mugs/silverware/pans, game room, and a wonderful 4 seasons sunroom perfect for coffee in the morning. THANK YOU for sharing this gem with our group. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Great Place

We had a blast the place was great for a large group of people. The layout of the building was funky (in a good way). Our only issue was the description of the beds, the listing showed that 2 rooms had a queen and a twin which was not true. We got there and there was only a queen bed and no twin. We then started searching in the closets for roll away beds and found 2, but those are still not free standing twin beds like the listing showed.

Friend and Family ski weekend

What a wonderful house for a ski weekend! This house was just minutes from Bromley and a few restaurants and shops. A perfect location for our group of friends and our young kids. The house was more than we could ask for - it was family friendly and each family had so much privacy too. Great communication with owner, quick to respond and helpful with any questions leading up to the trip. We all packed very light on “things” and the house had everything we needed including a play pen, gates , travel cribs and cots. We added on the cottage after our initial booking with no problem and that was perfect to expand the space for everyone. We will definitely look to book again for our next ski trip. Thank you for a memorable weekend!

Great hosts, old house

The house is managed well, and was clean (as clean as an old, funky, former inn can be). Any additional items we needed were quickly and happily provided by our hosts. This is a very, very large house with enough bedrooms/bathrooms for 6 families. It has a lot of charm...and an equal amount of annoying little problems that come with an old, former inn in need of a serious update. For example, there is an industrial size range, but several of the burners would not light. The cooking area is not adequately lit. There are drafty windows throughout the house, large areas with no apparent heat (e.g. the kitchen), and several windows that do not lock. The house was not adequately stocked considering the size of the house, but as I said above the host were happy to provide what we needed. Location: It's a great location, only 8 minutes from Bromley ski area and 20 from Stratton. Only 20 mins to many fine restaurants in Manchester. It's located on a fairly busy highway, and passing semis can be heard throughout the night. The bar area with it's pool/ping pong table and games was a great place for our large family to hang out. Overall, if you value charm and funkiness over functionality, this is your place!

Great Weekend Getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an incredible time at the Blue Door Farm and Cottage! We enjoyed a long weekend with 16 guests, who fit comfortably. The pictures help you get a sense of the place, but it is even more beautiful in person. Each room has a private bathroom, including the two rooms in the cottage. There are also two common bathrooms in the main house that were convenient. The kitchen area was big enough for us to feed everyone in our party. The sunroom was a nice gathering space, and the tavern included a large TV and was a great space for games and other activities. There was enough space that we could all be together when we wanted, but people could also do their own thing in the many different areas and rooms. The outdoor space was really nice; we had a great time stargazing and sitting at the firepit. Dan was kind and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this place to our friends and family, and we are hoping to return soon!

Perfect setting for our retreat!

I hosted a yoga retreat at this property. It was set up perfectly for a group. Each large bedroom has its own private bathroom. Plus a couple more bathrooms to boot! We enjoyed the property very much, plenty of space to stretch out or if we wanted to be together we had nice large rooms and a beautiful yard to be together in. The fire pit was amazing! We had plenty of room in the kitchen for all of us. There were 16 of us in total. The kitchen is set up great for groups. We catered dinner each night and found wonderful food at the local establishments. We plan on coming back!

Everyone had plenty of space to spread out at the house. Kitchen was well stocked. The yard and pool were great for the kids! Loved the big sunroom for hanging out. Outdoor dining area was great. The location is great. Easy to get to Manchester. Cute little markets nearby. Would definitely recommend for a large group!

We were able to enjoy lots of space, cook to our hearts delight in the commercial kitchen and while away the evenings around the fire pit. (thanks for leaving it all set up!) The bedrooms were clean and private. It was a little challenging for some of the guests who experience knee and hip issues as there are many levels and stairs to navigate. All in all a fantastic, peaceful, clean place to enjoy great friends.

Reviewer Comments: We are a total of 6 families that stayed at the Blue Door Farm and Cottage with ages ranging from 3-81, and there was so much space for everyone. The spacious sunroom and bar area provided a place for families to sit and enjoy being with each other. The layout of the bedrooms with their own bathroom provided privacy and quiet time when needed. We are a family that loves to cook, and the commercial kitchen was PERFECT. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, serving dishes, cooking and eating utensils. The house is on the main road but tucked in for privacy. The location of the house was perfect! Grocery shopping was easy. The Londonderry Village Market is just 3 minutes away. Manchester was just 20 minutes away. The kids enjoyed Bromley Adventure Park, which is just 6 minutes away. Our family has been renting vacation properties for many years now, and I have not had a more responsive owner like Dan. He is prompt to answer emails and text messages.We would definitely recommend this property. We look forward to staying at the other properties knowing that Dan is so easy to do business with.

Lots of different areas to hang out. The property was clean and the outdoors maintained. We enjoyed the outdoor games and firepit nightly. Property is about a 5 minute drive to a small market and a great hiking trail. 10 minutes or so away is a fantastic restaurant, Social House. Manchester, for groceries, shopping and dining, is about a 15 minute drive. Lakes and other activities about 30 minutes away. The only disappointments our group agreed was that the noise from the road was a bit loud at times and the lack of cabinet space for food in the kitchen.

It was perfect for our 6 families. We ended up with room to spare. The highlight (for us) was cooking a full meal on day. The kitchen was just right for that. The area is good for outdoor activity. We spend a day hiking. Manchester Center looked nice, though we only stopped for ice cream. And a visit to Taylor Farm just 2 mile away was very pleasant.

Fabulous Weekend!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous weekend celebrating my daughter's engagement and my twins' birthdays at Blue Door Farm and Cottage. Located near Manchester, Vermont this farmhouse was perfect for a family weekend. This house was perfect for accommodating 15 of us for the weekend - the rooms were spacious - each with a private bathroom and many with a fireplace. We were all able to spend time together in the bar/game room area each night and enjoy a home cooked breakfast in the large and well equipped kitchen. The fire pit and hot tub just added to the fun. We couldn't have had had a better weekend. Highly recommend Blue Door Farm and Cottage - we will definitely be back!!

What a perfect family setting!

We loved our stay. Great home - so many rooms and spaces for all! Everything we needed. We had 4 families stay in the home/property. We were concerned (prior to the trip) it was going to be too small but all 6 rooms in the main house were similar in size and accommodated us well. And the bonus cottage with 2 more rooms worked fantastically for one of the families with 2 older girls. Def recommend!

Fun, Quirky Historic Property

We enjoyed this wonderful, historic property with retrofitting for modern features while maintaining its historic features. Each bedroom was unique. The property is in a beautiful location that is close to a great grocery store, good restaurants, historic sites and good medical. The property had a wonderful laundry facilities with multiple washers and dryers. We really enjoyed the fit pit that was located in the middle of the meadow with plenty of firewood. The house had lots of games and a pool table. Parking was very convenient.
