Luxe hotels in Long Island

'The efforts of excellence & lux is clearly their goal. Quality in design, bed & room amenities… But, Unfortunately our room was not cleaned two times even with the clean room notice indicated. Returning to our room late night to NOT have a clean towel to wash up with, a clean cup to drink from & untidy room is frustrating & unexceptionable. We had to dispose of trash, dirty dishes & dirty linens to the hallway ourselves & repeatedly request basic room supplies. A hotel at this level & cost...

'What a very special place this is. Wilfred and Vida are truly brilliant hosts. When we arrived they sat with us and had a lovely chat about the house and the area, recommended places to eat and provided lots of local intelligence. Tea and coffee is served in the room at 8am followed by a very generous and delicious breakfast. The two of them are a totally charming couple with their great sense of humour, stories and kindness They could give lessons on what true hospitality should be. '

'The staff works very well together, especially in the kitchen. Rooms are delivered quickly and cleanly. Additional clothes hangers were delivered very quickly. Hotel is very close to the metro. Will definitely come back here. Top'
