'This hotel with a history offers great surroundings near Saranac lake, spacious, modern and clean family rooms, and friendly staff for a reasonable price. During our 3 week trip in July through north east of USA and Canada we planned to stay here for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. We were very lucky with the weather ( 75 -82 F) but heard the winter period lasts long and is tough.'

'Great property. Room was very cozy and clean. Bed was comfortable and we loved having a little seating area in the room. It was nice to relax in the room or hang around the hotel. It was easy to get around Lake Placid and the surrounding area. It is 15minutes to Whiteface Mountain. There were fun activities at the hotel - live music one night, bar with light food and a fire pit with free smore kits every night. Good value for the price!'
