'This was a very cute bungalow. It's old but well maintained. There was a roach in the bathroom, not the big cockroach but a small roach. I didn't see any signs of uncleanliness anywhere in the home, so we chalked it up to coming from outside. This isn't the best neighbor but we enjoyed ourselves. I'm prior military myself and many military installations aren't in the most desirable areas. It was convenient to the base, which was my primary reason for being here. 'Excellent location for a retreat or family gathering. 12/10! We loved the open space and many thoughtful details, such as the large whiteboard and fresh dry erase markers. The wifi and tech worked well. The A/C was amazingly cool, and we were there during a major heat wave. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful, both day and night. 'Very nice home with a parking spot in the rear. Neighborhood was quiet with non-existent traffic. Short drive to Six Flags Great America. More amenities than we needed, however very nice that they are there for family needs. Laundry, exercise space, free Wi-Fi, connected TV. Check-in was easy. Host responded promptly to messages and proactively inquired about our stay. We felt very safe with cameras and motion activated lights on the property. 'Clean, cozy, and comfortable!! We love the spacious deck with copious chairs and umbrellaed tables. Steps to lake w kayaks provided. Short walk to beach. Short distance to to Settlers Park and beach. There’s a dog park there as well with separate space for large and small dogs!! '
