'The property was really beautiful and everything we needed had been supplied for us. The tent was clean, cute and had such a fun vibe. The outdoor kitchen and bathroom were so fun and made it feel more like camping! All instructions were super clear and it made for a really easy trip. Charlie was really quick to reply to all messages which made the trip easy and worry-free! My only feedback is that there were stinging nettles around the hot tub steps! Thank you so much for letting us stay there...

'When I mentioned it was my daughters 21st, they got her a card & bubbly, so thoughtful. They gave us information surrounding the history of the property, a great insight & an amazing welcome basket. The place was beautiful & cosy. They advised on walks for our dogs & the garden was pretty & safe for them. Would highly recommend '

'Everything was as listed….the log burner was an added feature which we were happy to use on rainy days. The location was really goid… Colchester close and historically very interesting. North of the city was Constable country… nice walks and interesting info on the artists. South we enjoyed Tiptree museum, and the Salt marshes for walking and photography. Ovreall it was everything we wished for “'

'Nice place to stay for our short break with outside seating area at the rear which was welcome as it was very hot weather and it was far too hot in the house with no air conditioning or fan provided. We had taken a fan with us ourselves which we needed on both floors if the house. Lots of wasps/insects entering the house due to the weather. Can accommodate babies and pets too. Well equipped apart from no hairdryer. House looked a different colour (darker) from the website, so difficult to find. '

'We recently rented three homes in England - They were all very, very, good. Even with this tough competition, the Mac Shack stood out as an absolutely wonderful stay. From the friendly, helpful, host and hostess and their beautiful, very comfortable home, I cannot imagine a better rental. We have rented many homes from VRBO, some City apartments, country cottages, beautiful villas and even a castle. Mac shack was the equal or better than any other accommodation.
