'Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. 'Great location for a getaway. Stockbridge was a hidden gem for us. Well kept pub type hotel with a large room and at a good price. Decent breakfast.'

'Loved the property, we stayed in the chalet. Facilities are excellent & the buffet breakfast provided was more than ample. Located in a quiet area but very convenient for town centre, a nice walk along the canal takes you into town. Had a very friendly welcome from James who explained how everything worked. Definitely stay again if we need accommodation in Romsey.'

'It was everything we expected and more. Wonderful time in Romsey.'

'Het ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Er waren verschillende soorten vers fruit, warme gerechten en nog veel meer. Erg vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was heel klein en warm. We hadden een piep klein raam daardoor kwam er weinig frisse lucht binnen. De matras was smal en oud. Je voelt de veren erdoor komen. Ik zou niet meer terug gaan naar dit hotel.'

'We had a lovely stay at The Great Decoy. The weather was horrible unfortunately, but the pub was very cosy and welcoming with lovely open fires. Lovely food, great decor, lovely attention to detail including the gorgeous smelling toiletries provided. The bed was very comfy with lovely bedding. We will definitely return and also try out other pubs in the Chickpea Group.'

'Geweldige locatie en leuk hotel. Goede prijs. '

'A wonderfull location, a beautifull room, very kind staff, dinner & breakfast very good.'

'Very welcoming with helpful and friendly staff. Good and varied dinner menu and a good choice selection of cooked or light breakfast. Location is out of the way down narrow lanes but the pretty village setting is both quiet and peaceful.'

'Zeer mooi hotel gelegen in een natuurlijke omgeving met zeer luxueuze kamers. Zeer goede ligging om Winchester te bezoeken. Het restaurant zouden we niet echt aanraden. '

'I couldn't make one single negative comment about this place, it was fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hosts were warm and welcoming, the breakfasts were first rate and the pool was a great bonus. The views in every direction were stunning.'

'Nice hotel ...although the link with the manor house is not always clear: it's basically a large, well kept hotel on the same premises.'

'Ik weet niet of het bijzonder is, maar alles klopt in dit hotel. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk, de lobby is gezellig, de kamer was enorm schoon, de bedden goed en het ontbijt bijzonder goed. Absoluut een topper dit hotel'

'Some good, some bad... We arrived late in the evening and had a nice welcome. There were some petit fours in our room and it looked very attractive, if very cold. The bed and bed linen was good and the (small) bathroom attractively fitted out. But beneath the surface there are obvious problems. The foyer had a bad damp smell. The heating consists of an air conditioning unit in each room, which was noisy and not particularly effective. The electric towel rail did not heat up. The coldness...
