We chose this home because of the location and it was advertised as family-friendly, but unfortunately our stay had several issues.When we arrived, the master bedroom bed frame was broken. We contacted the host right away. They were polite but unable to send maintenance that night, so we had to create a temporary fix ourselves just to use the bed. It was clear the frame had been repaired multiple times rather than replaced.Later, we found a used pimple patch in the bed, which made us question whether the sheets had been changed. The host suggested checking the linen closet, but there were no extra sheets available, so my daughters slept on top of the bed during out stay and used blankets we had with us. The rugs also smell like dog pee. My kids were uncomfortable the entire stay and asked multiple times if we could leave for a hotel.Toward the end of our stay we were also locked out when the bottom lock engaged, and we were not provided with a key to that doorknob. We found this at midnight and we couldn't find vacancies in any nearby hotels and were worried about what to do all night with our family of 6. We eventually got a lockbox code to enter through another door, but this should be addressed to prevent it happening to future guests.The house did have a dishwasher and washing machine, which was nice, but there were no hand or dish towels, so we had to rely on paper towels.The host was polite, but the cleanliness and maintenance issues made the stay disappointing.
