Thank you for leaving your review and I am very sorry that you had trouble getting back into the hotel during the later evening hours. For the safety of our in house guests we do close and lock the front door after 11:30pm so as to not let nonregistered people on property, however, our front desk agent should always have the cordless phone on their person to intercept any callbox calls from registered guests when reentering the lobby. In regards to the scaffolding, we were in the process of revitalizing the original ceiling paint work and so we apologize for the unsightliness of the scaffolding but these are things we must do to maintain our historic building.
