'I was underwhelmed with this hotel and thought value for money was much not as good as other hotels I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Located in the central city area of Trinco, however there is not really much to neither see or do in this area. Suggest you instead look for a hotel on the beach and take a tuk-tuk if you want yo experience the city. The room was spacious, had AC, but other than that rather basically equipped. I had high hopes for a Sri Lankan breakfast, because staff asked me...

'The property is on the main town street which is noisy. The property is some distance from a good beach. The air conditioning unit had a dull light which shone through the night.'

Pigeon island...

'Gevoel was echt goed, mooi hotel en alle luxe voorzien'

'I think not much items to select for the breakfast compared to other hotels, that's poor. I already told to the staff about that. , . and closing pool at 9pm is also not a good thing. we couldn't enjoy much . the staff is great, very helpful'

'The garden and pool area of the hotel are delightful, very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful but communication can be tricky due to limited English except for Bava who is very professional and attentive. Our room and bathroom were spacious but fittings are basic, I would have liked hot water in the basin, hand towels and a bedside table. The breakfast is generous and tasty, thank you!'

'Oceanfront Nilaveli has a fantastic beachfront location, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The property is poorly managed because each apartment has a different owner. The reception frequently refers guests to the individual owner instead of resolving issues, making even simple requests frustrating. During our stay, requests for missing towels, shampoo, shower gel or Wi-Fi problems often went unanswered. Calling reception was usually ineffective, and we repeatedly had to go...

'Beautiful property and the staff here is fantastic. It's a short walk to the beach and some small shops where you can buy snacks and drinks etc if needed. There are many restaurants on the beach to get lunch and dinner as well. They provide a nice breakfast and everyone is very kind and attentive especially Gayathri and Nazeem. Definitely had a good experience here and would recommend.'
