'On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

'Lovely big rooms and helpful staff. Room def in need of modernisation but big with everything you’d need. Barman particularly helpful. Lovely location and although just off main road which made it easy was extremely quiet. Would recommend'

'Quick check in, we asked for a room at the back, we were given room 8. Nice room, comfy bed, pillows a little flat. Lovely shower room with waterfall shower, nice toiletries. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so the room of course was hot, we opened the windows. 'From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. 'We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. 'The property was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was a combination of a buffet and cooked to order. There was a good choice and plentiful. Hawes itself suits adults better than children although the Wensleydale Cheesery is good for all ages.'

'It was very rustic. We loved the fire pits outside. The bbq food was very good but could have been hotter. Our room was a bit small but we were only there one night and it didn't spoil our time there. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.'
