'AVOID ROOMS ON LOWER FLOORS: this hotel is very pretty and the staff are lovely, but the hotel has a severe architectural flaw, producing shocking banging, vibrations, and extremely loud noise whenever any guest makes the slightest movement in the rooms above. (This terrible problem is obvious to anyone who stays in the lower rooms, and the staff acknowledge and apologize for the fact that it makes it impossible to sleep when anyone moves about upstairs.)
