'Extremely peaceful hotel especially as so close to the town (which was a pleasant stroll past the river and castle). Clean rooms, and friendly staff. Really good breakfast, dinner could have been better as the lasagne was bland. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and would return.'

'Needed a place close to Shropshire to visit rellys - my wife found this online and the photos and reviews were stellar. The longest, twistiest single lane country road with flocks of bantams took 15 minutes to reach the lodge from theain A road. Crazy! Fortunately, no one came the other direction so only the wildlife provided the hazards. The lodge is a converted barn/stables/something old and quirky. It has wifi and very polite staff. 'The accommodation was small and with our room being on the road facing side, it was very noisy. It was a bed for the nights we stayed as we didn’t spend much time in room as visiting family. The breakfast was excellent.'

'Joules and her Son were absolutely wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice and super fresh and tasty. Joules’ baking was a great surprise treat, a lovely touch in our room on arrival and the Brownies later in our stay were out of this world! Our room was spotless, very comfy bed, lovely armchairs with the spectacular view over Ironbridge and the valley....
