'Difficult to find, on a fishmarket, no way to check in earlier then 3pm (even when the room is ready), but Folkestone is great, that makes it more then okay! Room is small but very cosy. No closets, bathroom is small and not practical. Good bed, super view, great (expensive) diner at Rocksalt restaurant. Very nice stay'

'Uitstekend en vriendelijke service van personeel. Prachtige kamer, zeezicht. Hotel is gedateerd maar goed verzorgd. Is perfecte prijs/kwaliteits verhouding. Parkeren voor het hotel voor £2.00 geregeld door het hotel, als er plaats is. Dichtbij winkel straat.'

'Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was...

'Was a wonderful hidden Jem with amazing bar and restaurant. The room was lovely and the only challenge was taking a shower in a bath tub ha but it was big and copper gorgeous. Will be back again. '
