'We had a very relaxing stay at Doug's loft suite. It's a very peaceful property. The hot tub definitely made this a 5 star place to stay. So relaxing and peaceful watching the sunset and then the stars at night. The room is a bit small but quaint and has everything you need including a small fridge, sink, dishes etc. and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely return the next time we visit the area. These four separate units sit on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence. There’s a well-designed trail/pea-gravel road down the 135 foot hill to Chimney Corner Beach in Mabou Bay. The layout of the place is great with a beautiful great room and kitchen; great beach chairs in the basement to make it easy to hit the beach, a short ¼ mile down the...

'This is a property that really highlights the amazing beauty of Cape Breton! Sunsets are breathtaking, as is the trail past the pond to the private beach. The property is exactly as offered. We had everything we needed for a wonderful 3 nights. Michael took great care to ensure we had a very comfortable stay there and communication/responses very fast. There are also great reataurants within 20 minutes of the property. I have no problem highly recommending this property!'

It's best suited for 4,but the 6 of us were fine.Love the thoughtfulness in the provision of things you might forget,including for the pets.Got to goto Chase the Ace at the fire department where we were truly welcomed by the people from the community. Thank you. We loved our stau at the Sandcastle in the Hood. '
