Expedia!!! ik begrijp dat dit een automatische enquete is. Haal deze voorziening uit de lucht. Voor 'klachten' zijn jullie niet bereikbaar. Wij hebben onze reis moeten annuleren. Een medewerkster belde met de mededeling: 'jammer, maar helaas. Te laat ingecheckt. Geld weg! en...zoek het verder maar uit'. Dit is echt de laatste keer dat ik gebruik heb gemaakt van jullie 'diensten'.

We waren erg teleurgesteld dat we bij aankomst in de ochtend we onze kamer pas na 14.00 uur konden betrekken, terwijl we onze reservering voor deze twee-weekse reis lang van tevoren hadden gemaakt. De kamer zelf was prima, hoewel we enigszins pech hadden met de locatie.

Fijn hotel op prima locatie
Comfortabel hotel op goede locatie in de oude binnenstad, alles op loopafstand. Als er al iets negatief te melden valt, is dat het feit dat de koffie bij het (verder uitstekende) ontbijt niet echt lekker was en dat de bedden iedere keer uit elkaar schoven.Maar als we nog eens naar Madeira gaan, zullen we zeker weer Castanheiro boeken!

Op alle gebied een perfecte score. Van aankomst tot vertrek hebben we enkel maar vriendelijk personeel gezien. Iedereen spreekt goed Engels en wil alles doen om je tevreden te stellen. (Monica in restaurant : super attentie) Kamers zijn ruim, proper, goede douche, goed bed. Het hotel biedt ook fiets- en autoverhuur. Het congrescentrum Cifec-Madeira ligt op 2 km van het Castanheiro Boutique Hotel en het is 6 km naar het Parque Ecologico do Funchal. De luchthaven van Madeira bevindt zich op 13 km afstand.

Heerlijk verblijf in dit hotel
Heerlijk hotel in het centrum van Funchal. Het hotel is zeer smaakvol ingericht, mooie kleuren. Personeel bijzonder hulpvaardig. Kamer mooi ruim (wij hadden een terras aan de kamer, straatkant). Mooie badkamer. Het ontbijt is prima.Je kan ook op de binnenplaats eten. Het restaurant is een aanrader. In en uitrijden van de garage is een hele klus, zeer nauwe draai, kan niet in één keer gemaakt worden, kies een kleine auto!)

Prachtig hotel in het centrum
Nieuw hotel, prachtig ingericht met een combinatie van Portugese stijlen en moderne invloeden. Aardig wat kamers, maar zo opgezet dat je je toch in een klein familiehotel thuisvoelt. Heerlijke douche, prima ontbijtbuffet, op loopafstand van de haven, de oude stad, winkels en restaurants.

Great hotel in central location with comfortable room. Immaculately clean everywhere. Lovely rooftop pool, excellent spa facilities with indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Breakfast choices and.service were very good with fabulous fruit every day and tasty fresh egg dishes. Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening. So convenient for all sights, dining and shopping. Location is excellent. Despite being only a couple blocks from all the restaurants, shops, and bars, the hotel is perfectly located on a quiet side street. Our included breakfast was among the best I have experienced anywhere. Service was excellent and both the quality and choice of foods was perfect. The hotel facilities, from the sauna, fitness center, etc. and the rooftop lap pool and whirlpool are wonderful. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite. This is really a top hotel in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood that would be my first choice if visiting Funchal again.

Great hotel, the breakfast had a great variety and you could even order from a menu and it was included. Rooftop patio was nice. Only one hot tub, so a little crowded. Parking on site and some very close by so not an issue. Staff were great.

Awesome Hotel
From the minute we stepped in the front door we were made to feel welcomed. They went out of their way to make our visit special. The hotel is lovely and had so many amenities that we didn't even have a chance to use them all. Even when we told them we were checking out before breakfast (which is excellent) they offered to pack us a picnic to take to the airport with us. We would highly recommend this establishment.

Lovely hotel nestled close to the town centre in the residential area, so great location. Nice little pool and sun terrace, although not really big enough for 80 rooms if everyone decided to use it. Service from all staff was wonderful, very friendly helpful and nothing too much trouble.

The facility was clean and elegant. The staff was all friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that we did not have a bathtub. They showed them in the add and I requested a rm with a tub. It was nice that the had a hot tub on the room. It was wonderful up there. When I return I will stay there.
