Though I take pride in my skill at customer service in this current atmosphere of the service industry, I must admit I was thrown off by the approach taken with this issue. I do not like to make excuses, but I was not sure if the vehemence was tongue in cheek. My apologies for not recognizing how important it was for you. As I continue to work here and am most at ease when guests are happy and satisfied, it is assuredly taken into consideration as a possible issue. Perhaps if I had acted with more self-abasement, our partners down the block who provide our weekend guests with complementary breakfast would not have felt the dual sting of this review.

We are sorry that we did break one of the cardinal sins of hotel housekeeping, and I will definitely bring it to the awareness of the innkeepers. Multiple hairs in the shower is a definite no-no. Though not all our rooms come equipped with microwaves, we do have them available upon request to keep in your room. We also are able to assist our guests with any in-room thermostat issues when made aware of there being any difficulty along those lines. We understand that with the uniqueness of our historic building that things may arise, we and are prepared to attend to making all guests as comfortable as possible.
