'Fijne dagen uitgerust in deze fantastische lodge. Mooie kamer en badkamer. Sfeervol ingericht! Heerlijk ontbijt in mooie ruimte. Het huis is met liefde opgeknapt, donderdag en vrijdag is er een pop up restaurant in hun verbouwde church hall. Lekker eten!'

'Lovely locale at the foot of Mt. Taranaki with heaps of hiking tracks nearby. Local host and landowner Jarene couldn't have been a more hospitable and gracious host.'

'We loved our 4 days in Hurford. The place was small but comfortable and set in the most amazing beautiful garden! It was a good base to explore the area, great hiking in the Kataki range, lovely beach at Oakura. Only 20 mins from the Bowl of Brooklands where went to a concert. Highly recommend '

'Rooms well laid out and very comfortable. Bonus was a large walk in wardrobe come dressing room. Lots of shelves to put belongings on.'

'Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. '
