'The hotel is located half way into a lane, which means that you have to walk the last bit while confronted with motor bikes coming from the opposite direction. Next you need to get up the stairs with your luggage before you reach the entrance. Further, the bathroom is mediocre at best.'

Not that good: The sprayers of the soap and shampoo bottles were too tight, not suitable for those liquids. The room smells humid when no air-conditioning, location is far from jetties, but as Male is a small island, it's not that big of a deal.'

'This room we booked does not have windows, the photos were misleading as they used the pictures of their bigger room. The common kitchen area have windows therefore the room is tagged with "city view". Which we found very disappointing. Do not go with this option unless you're comfortable without any window. Besides that, the room is also quite tight and can barely keep our luggage open, the bedsheet has lots of lint and was very uncomfortable. Overall it was ok stay, staff were friendly and...

'The hotel in general exceeded my expectations. As a road warrior I typically end up staying at Hampton inn type properties. Unima Grand is the Hampton inn of Male. Great familiar like environment to make you feel comfortable. The staff connected via WhatsApp prior to arrival at to make the transfer from the airport to hotel seamless. Check in was smooth with formalities filled out while I waited at the airport. Breakfast and the on site restaurant was exceptional! Lots of fresh local offerings...

'Property was very clean and beautiful rooms. They also offer unlimited 24 hour free tea & coffee plus toast and jam. Very convenient location in the center of Male. Extremely friendly staff and owner. There is even a washing machine for laundry offered for free! I completely enjoyed my stay! Thank you 🙏 '
