'Prachtig gelegen hotel met faciliteiten en service op hoog niveau. Ruime kamer en badkamer. Erg schoon en goed onderhouden. Kamer/Balkon mooi uitzicht op de binnentuin en zee. 'Wij hebben het ontzettend naar onze zin gehad bij Ambong Ambong. En dit is zeker ook mede te danken aan het personeel. Zij doen werkelijk alles om het je naar de zin te maken. De weg naar de studio's is behoorlijk steil, maar ze willen je altijd met de auto halen en brengen. Ze zijn altijd vrolijk en bijzonder vriendelijk. Het ligt prachtig tegen de berg aan en je hebt een prachtig uitzicht op zee! Dan natuurlijk de natuur. Alles is daar behouden gebleven. De apen die 's morgens op je dak...

'We as a family had an amazing stay. Booked an extra night. Location at beach with amazing views, incredible rooms, fantastic swimming pools. Staff is incredible friendly and helpful. If you are at Langkawi this would be the place for me to book again. We had other hotels in Langkawi on this trip. This was by far the best. '

'The resort is nestled in the rain forrest. Monkeys and butterflies everywhere. The beach is magnificent and calm (no music, no motorized water sports, thankfully!). The pools are nice and so are the showers etc. The restaurants are good although rather expensive. Breakfast was great. Only downside was the lack of functioning salt dispensers. 'I really liked Arwana and would stay here again. It’s literally right on the beach. The water is crystal clear and baby reef sharks swim around happily. Perhentian doesn’t have any roads so the hotel can arrange water taxis. We did the Redang island trip and the snorkelling trip, both arranged by Arwana and they were both excellent. Don’t go expecting a 5 star experience, but this hotel has a rustic charm, the room was nice and clean and the pool is a good size. It’s peaceful and exudes chilled...

"Pelangi Resort consists of a beautiful main building and several buildings with one or more hotel rooms in them. Ours had 8. We stayed at the first (top) floor with a view of the lake and standing on the balcony, which was spacious, we could see the sea and beach between the other buildings. Staff were very friendly and forthcoming. The place is clean. There are three restaurants. Due to our family's preferences we chose to eat the most at the grill - with Western food. The cooks aren't too schooled in this, so don't expect the highest quality. The Asian restaurant was far better but a bit too spicy for our untrained tastebuds. The pools are very nice and fun for kids. The private beach is beautiful. We absolutely loved staying here. "

"De accommodatie was gekozen vanwege het feit dat we met een gezin ( met tieners) in een kamer konden verblijven. Een kamer met 2 slaapkamers. De schoonmakers maakten de bedden wel op als we daarom vroegen maar de rest van de kamer was niet echt schoon. De bedden waren te doen. Erg harde matras met een wat zachtere topper. Wifi gewoon goed,behalve tijdens onweer.Het meubilair is verouderd en vies. Net als in Europa drijft men op de kracht van de naam. Maar lijkt het vergane glorie. Wel centraal gelegen. Het ontbijt was zo zo, niet continentaal maar erg afgestemd op de regio. Dat is logisch natuurlijk en prima. Volgende keer gewoon een appartement huren in Kuala Lumpur is beter. Je verwacht van Pullman een bepaalde beleving en dat is er niet."

"Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Hotel location was good. However, cleaniness and upkeeping can be significantly improved, for e.g.: a) surroumding edges of bathroom sink and floor finishing were dirty and mouldy b) no electric socket in the bathroom which is surprising for a 4 star hotel Charging points are limited and w/o USB being available. Bed lamps can be installed to improve lighting."
