Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped...

The building, which has been beautifully restored and appointed, sits in arguably the best location above Kandy and the warm and elegant hospitality was memorable. We cannot recommend more highly! I was shocked to see a negative review in my name which most definitely did not come from me. Beware of hacks. '
'Super mooii nieuw hotel en personeel erg behulpzaam Midden in de stad maar nergens last van. Min punt is dat wij 4 hoog de trappen op moesten. Gelukkig hielp de personeel met sjouwen. Zijn nog bezig om hele nieuwe keuken te bouwen. Ws komt er ook een lift.

We got stuck in a room at the back (worst one is the one next to the main entrance and lobby) with a view of the staff path to the laundry room (ie no privacy) and without sunlight. The room was small and stuffy.

'Great place to stay in Kandy! Rooms are clean, comfortable, and shower is great. Staff are true professionals and definitely want you to have a great stay. Hotel is perched atop hill just outside of town. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and the town is a nice 20 stroll down the hill. Staff hooked us up with a great driver for day trip to Sigiriya.
