'The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom. 'Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

'The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car'

"We decided to choose for IBIS Como as it is near to the highway, near to the city of Como and has comfortable rooms. Very nice lady at the check in desk, very nice spatial room with good bathroom, thought the doors of the shower leaked quit a bit. Nearby a goof restaurant but within 20 minutes you are in de center of Como, right at the lake. Especially nice is that you can park for free in front of the hotel. Unfortunately you need to login with your credentials to get wifi access by the reasonable speed. For us also important is that the hotel is pet friendly so the dog could join us. We really loved it and recommend this IBIS Como hotel. "
