'Room was clean and the young person was so very helpful Breakfast was excellent and cooked perfect both mornings I commented to the young chef that cooked our breakfast on Wednesday morning. What a fantastic job he had made. Even the waitress listen to instructions about tea and toast and followed them to the letter The only thing I’d probably say that was missing was the attached pub/bar only did lunchtime meals and not evening'

'Amazing staff, food of a high standard. Rooms especially windows need repainting, updating .Noisy if windows are left open. But I would highly recommend. Will be staying again.'

'Lovely convenient location. Very clean and freshly renovated. Staff very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. We were given an upgrade to a deluxe seaview room which was very well equipped and comfortable. Car parking might be a problem as it is limited and the suites and high grade rooms get a space reserved. They kindly saved us a space as we needed disabled access. The breakfast was very good and freshk6cooked. We hope to stay again.'

'Very nice hotel on a very convenient location. Just outside the buzz of Southend pier and city center but in walking distance. Great views over the Thames estuary. The rooms are very well appointed. Great design. But unfortunately not all design is practical. The bathroom is really too small. Room 204 very large, but a tiny bed and an unworkable bathroom. This doesnt add up to comfort. I hope they have rooms with a normal size bathroom. '
