'The home is beautifully located above Whatcom Lake near Bellingham. Although it was quite chilly during our stay, the hot tub and fireplaces kept us quite toasty after long walks through woods and along the lakeside. I would highly recommend a trip into Bellingham to stock up on groceries. While you are there stop by Henderson Books, a surprisingly well-stocked used bookstore with something for everyone. 'We wanted some relaxing lake time with the family and that’s what we got!! Kayaking on the lake and relaxing on the back porch. Be aware fishing on the lake is closed from October to the end of April. We did not know there are lakes in this county that have this rule.'
