Marchwood National Grid Substation This substation feeds power at 400 KV into the national grid from Marchwood Power Station (under construction). The power station combines gas and steam turbines to generate 824 MW at 58% efficiency; it will cost £380m to build, see http://www.marchwoodpower.com . From right, just seen are the tops of the chimneys, then a white building with air vents (probably the main turbine hall). The nearest white building probably contains electrical switchgear. It is apparent from the white tubes carrying power from this building to the pylon that the switchgear is gas insulated. In the background is the silver dome of Marchwood Incinerator (unrelated). In the foreground is East Road.

Julia was een echte gastvrouw zoals je altijd zou willen. De schoonmaak service verraste ons, zo goed. Heerlijke huiskamerachtige sfeer en een perfecte loft. Ronald achter de bar was ook correct en keurig. Echt helemaal top hier!

The whole experience was wonderful. The pool, although cold was well used, followed by a dip in the hot tub. The little private pub was a hit, along with the games room. A beautiful venue for special ocasions. Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and helpful hosts. Altogether amazing.
