'We had a great time at the Hemlock Creek Cabin! The sound of the creek in the distance made sitting on the deck a real pleasure. The view was not spectacular but there were some really neat places that we were able to hike to nearby including 3 ponds. Unfortunately we were not able to catch any fish in either the ponds or the creek but we had fun nonetheless. 'The house was cozy and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked except there was only on small pot, but plenty of pans. The listing said the house has private river access. I took that to mean that there was river access directly behind the house. A clarifying statement that river is accessible by a short drive would have been helpful. Once I adjusted my expectations, we had a great time. Thank you.'

'The lake house was amazing!! We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our family. Our grandkids had such a fun time down on the dock, swimming & kayaking. The house was prefect too!! We all enjoyed relaxing in the comfort of the beautiful home! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. 'Well appointed home in a great location. There is a beautiful deck/dock at the bottom of the hill, however the hill is steep so it is a hike to get to. Alternatively, there is a neighborhood pool and boat dock, which is a four minute drive from the property. We used this dock to launch our boat and jet skis and it worked great. '

'What a spectacular home in a lovely setting! We were a group of siblings and a few young adult children visiting our family in nearby Celo, NC. We were very pleased with the home and appreciated all the extra towels & the great seating and lighting in the outdoor spaces. We like that there were wrap-around decks & a covered porch & the grill was undercover. It does rain in the Mountains! The kitchen was well stocked, the A/C worked well. 'The host was always very responsive and respectful. The house was beautiful and situated in a pretty area; it was great sitting on the porch with a fire and listening to the river. Lots of games and River equipment gave us plenty of fun activities to keep us busy without feeling the need to go anywhere else. And I appreciate the host providing supplies and toiletries for the house. Definitely would like to stay here again one day. '

The A/C did have trouble keeping up on a few hot days on the top floor, even with the drapes shut, to the point we asked if someone could look at the HVAC unit while we were there. 'Our stay was great. The property was just as advertised. I would say a little more hilly than I was expecting but nothing unusual for the area. The rooms were large and roomy and the beds and bedding comfortable. Certainly more than enough room for me, three of my adult kids and their significant others. The deck down by the lake was a huge plus even though the pool is right next door. Several thunderstorms came through during our stay so the enclosed porch was the place to be.
