'Lovely warm welcome from Terri who showed me around the guest lounge, outdoor seating and breakfast room. The bedroom was large, with a dressing table, armchairs, large bed, roll top bath and a separate large shower. The room was spotless! Terri recommended the George Pub for dinner just 2-minute walk, which was superb. Breakfast was superb, lovely breakfast room, great choice, freshly prepared cooked breakfast. Will return!'

'I had a lovely stay at the carpenters arms. The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and a fab bath. I had dinner and breakfast as part of my stay. Dinner was delicious with a good variety of options. Dessert was yummy too. Breakfast was a two course affair with local produce - the best orange juice I've had in some time! I'd definitely visit again. '

'Lieu surprenant avec un paysage buccolique je recommande les personnes sont serviable a l écoute le repas est 4* La chambre donne sur unep étiez terrasses très sympa malheureusement et.ce n'est pas la faute des proprietaires ...les odeurs de la cuisine refoulent dans la chambre ...il y a elgament des guêpes attirees par l odeur de la nourriture sans doute . Dommage parce que le lieu est formidable et l accueil excellent . Je donne une notre de 8,5/10 tout de même pour ce lieu atypique...

'I have stayed at the Hunters Rest for 2 nights a fortnight for over a year. The staff are really friendly. My room (contemporary four-poster) was lovely - way cheaper than an average room in a city centre hotel. The food is delicious pub food. It’s in a beautiful location away from the crowds but with a local clientele. Really can’t say anything negative.'

'Fantastic little BnB. A friend an I were visiting Paul Nicholls' racing stable in Ditcheat, and we didn't know how difficult the walk was along the A-road. Upon hearing we were going, the owner offered to give us a lift in the morning after breakfast (which was also brilliant). Made us feel welcome from the get-go. Thank you for the stay!'

'It is a beautiful place with a wonderful restaurant. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The ONLY issue we had is, being in our 60s, the lack of hand rails in the bathroom. The shower is an in-bath type and we would really have found a couple of handrails very useful. One as you get in and one next to the shower. Other than that it was a perfect stay. '
