'The hotel was totally unique. Our room was excellent with all the mod cons one would expect to see in a hotel room. The communal areas were very inviting. The breakfast was very good offering a bit of everything. All the staff we had dealings with were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is situated in a prime position right by the cathedral. The castle, museum, shopping and restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel.'

'We stayed at Caistor Hall as we were going to a wedding reception nearby. We received a warm welcome when we checked in. The room itself was very large with a good modern bathroom, although to get the shower at a reasonable temperature was a work of art - you need to be patient that the hot water will eventually come! The decor is a little old fashioned but in keeping with the building. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent with a good choice available. We would definitely stay...

'OK, het hotel is niet duur. Maar als je er dan bent komt dat niet voor niets. Het hele hotel mag wel eens flink opgeknapt worden, het is smoezelig en het ruikt muf. Het waterstraalje in de douche was zeer klein. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Ik ga er in ieder geval niet meer heen. Dan maar 25 pond meer betalen voor iets meer luxe.'
