'Prima hotel met zeer ruime kamers. Niet het nieuwste van het nieuwste maar prima geschikt voor 3 of meer dagen. In deze kamer wel een oud springveren matras en wiebelig bed. uitstekend restaurant, prima service en ruim assortiment bier aan de bar. Top verblijf in de buurt van het Lakedistrict. binnenplaats met ruime parkeer gelegenheid ook voor de motor.(Wifi kan beter, slecht ontvangst in de kamer)'

'We stayed for 1 night in June. We were originally allocated a room on the ground floor near the bar area, which under normal circumstances would have been fine, the room itself was very nice. However, we have a child undergoing cancer treatment and she would not have settled. Paul, who I believe to be the owner manager, was very accommodating and went to great lengths to ensure we could have a lovely stay at this hotel. He arranged for a single bed to be put in one of the double rooms upstairs,...

'The 3 course meal was al a carte status, excellent made by chef/ owner. Lovely bedrooms and v clean and owners very welcoming. Lovely views and walks nearby. For children the wildlife park is worth a visit nearby. '

'Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. 'We have never visited The Lakes and wanted an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Would highly recommend staying here. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The food for the evening meal in the restaurant was lovely followed by breakfast the next day, with plenty of options. Also helped with have parking facilities on site and free for visitors to the hotel. Was not disappointed with our stay, and would definitely visit again in the future'

'The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

'All the staff, especially those in the bar/restaurant area were excellent. They were very accommodating, warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was lovely, although you do need some level of navigational expertise to find your room and your way around the hotel!'

'The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days. The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice. The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions.'
