  • Waterloo Cottage ligt in een ontspannen landelijke omgeving als onderdeel van Waterloo Station - een belangrijk historisch vee- en schapenbezit in de wijk New England in Noord-New South Wales. Een warm welkom wacht op u in Waterloo voor een uniek verblijf.

    Het huisje is volledig zelfstandig en biedt een charmante plek om te ontspannen, te delen en te genieten van de rustige omgeving. Er is de mogelijkheid om te genieten van de vele activiteiten die het pand presenteert, zoals wandelen, tennis op het terrein van de woning en zwemmen en vissen in Wellingrove Creek. Of verken het rijke erfgoed van onze regio en geniet van de vele lokale evenementen en unieke plaatsen om te bezoeken. Ons gebied is rijk aan een levendige café- en kunstcultuur.

    We zijn hier om ervoor te zorgen dat uw verblijf vlekkeloos is. Het huisje kijkt uit over het pand, het prachtige Waterloo-strand en de schilderachtige Matheson-kerk. Het pand is een etalage voor de vier prachtige seizoenen en de schoonheid van een tuin met een koud klimaat.

    Deel maaltijden en gesprekken rond de boerderij tafel of geniet van een BBQ en diner op de veranda. Ontbijt voorzieningen & pantry items verstrekt. Er is veel aandacht en detail besteed aan een onvergetelijk en comfortabel verblijf. Het huisje heeft queensize bedden in de twee grote slaapkamers en een stapelbed kamer aan de achterzijde. Alle beddengoed en handdoeken voorzien.

    De charmante ouderwetse keuken is volledig uitgerust als u besluit thuis te dineren. De kasten zijn gevuld met een breed scala aan kookapparatuur.

    Ontspan in de gezellige lounge met een groot, langzaam brandend houtvuur. Neem plaats en kom tot rust in de comfortabele omgeving en geniet van de eclectische verzameling van landelijke vondsten. Een geweldige omgeving om te genieten van het gezelschap van vrienden en familie. Foxtel is verbonden en er is beperkte wifi beschikbaar.

    Waterloo Station ligt 18 km ten westen van Glen Innes. Neem de Gwydir Hwy richting Inverell en sla rechtsaf naar Waterloo Road.(allemaal aangegeven)
    Als u vanuit Inverell rijdt, is de accommodatie 50 km ten oosten van Inverell, slaat u linksaf naar Waterloo Road. Dichtstbijzijnde luchthavens zijn Armidale en Inverell.

Fabulous farm stay

Thank you to Deb for a wonderful stay at Stockmans Cottage. The history of the property was so fascinating and we loved staying on a working farm. Highlights were the fishing, picnicking down by the river, farm animals for the kids, and evening BBQs under the starry skies. We hope to return again one day - thank you for sharing this magical place with us.

Great holiday

We stayed three days. So much fun. It was the best stay for us as a family. Dogs also loved it. So many highlights including the walks and playing tennis.

Awesome spot. Great for families and those with a pet. Relaxing with beautiful outlook. The only thing that greatly lets it down is the bathroom is really needing an upgrade. With the cost of the stay we were expecting better bathroom conditions.

Weekend away with the family

Awesome weekend enjoying the serenity of the station. We fished, fossicked and relaxed by the creeks. Feed the ducks and chickens and generally chilled out. Great weekend. Will be back.Rob and family

Literally perfect

Couldn't have been better. Magical location with amazing views, idyllic sunrises and sunsets, beautiful animals, a beautiful river. We saw amazing things, caught some amazing cod (bucket list Murray Cod!), found sapphires (blue and green) and visited some amazing local places.

Country heaven

Loved the history and originality of the Waterloo Stockmans Cottage together with the near by country town of Glen Innes Loved the surrounding and ability to enjoy the land with a dog . The Shearing Shed and seeing a platypus in the creek WOW !!!

Wonderful property to relax and enjoy.

We arrived to a beautiful homestead and property and checked into the Stockmans Cottage which was just amazing. Fantastic outloook, character and charm and wonderful space for the dogs to run and play , without having to worry about them. We took time to explore the station, shearing shed and platypus creek, and just adored it all. Never enough time. There are some wonderful places in Australia to see and enjoy, but we wanted to say thank you for allowing us to enjoy your special piece of paradise.

Excellent farm stay in New England region

Our group (2 couples) stayed at Stockmans Cottage for 3 nights in early November 2021. Don the owner, was a very friendly chap who checked in to make sure we were happy and set up, gave us a tour of the main house and some great tips on where to watch platypus (didn’t see any unfortunately) and local information. We used the house as a base to explore Bald Rock, Boonoo Boonoo and the area, rather than staying in town. Lovely to sit on the verandah watching the sheep, or in front of the fire. Well set up for self-catering re: kitchen. Some nice touches, e.g. fire set up, plenty of wood, basic supplies in fridge (eggs, milk, muffins). Would definitely recommend - and would recommend the shearer’s quarters for bigger groups.

Stockmans cottage long weekend stay

We had a beautiful weekend near glen Innes, staying in this lovely cottage, fireplace, electric blankets and dual air heating. Quaint cottage, peaceful setting and our host deborah was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this as a getaway.

A touch of Luxury and History

This is our second stay at the Waterloo property. With the various accommodation options, (all with those little luxury touches), there is something for anyone who enjoys getting away from the hustle and bustle. The homestead has all the old world charm, and is a sight to behold, with the renovations continuing on a luxurious scale. Both the schoolhouse, the Stockman's Cottage, and the shearer's lodgings are very comfortable and have all the amenities and little touches for a very welcoming stay. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Peace and quiet in the country

My family and I had a lovely stay at the Stockmans cottage. We enjoyed cool nights by a warm fire and felt like we'd stepped back to a simpler time but with all the comforts of home. Thanks for having us.

Just what we needed

We stayed at the Stockmans Cottage over Easter 2019. We had a simply lovely four days - enjoying the beautiful countryside & fossicking for sapphires were highlights. The property was really comfortable with some lovely touches from Deborah. It was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge.

Bliss

Peaceful and relaxing property where you could wander anywhere, and there were plenty of spots to have a picnic or just laze around. Our dog also loved the open fields where she could explore.

Waterloo Station Cottage

Two of us and our dog just spent three nights at the cottage and found it so comfortable and warm with everything needed (and then some) for a winter break. The cattle and sheep seem to be surviving the current drought, and the pretty creek is still running and gurgling. Deborah responded promptly and helpfully to enquiries, and we loved our walks around the historic buildings.

Country Retreat

So very peaceful. We stayed in the stockmans cottage which was a fully equipped home away from home. It has a beautiful outlook through the gums, across the paddock to the hills. You are free to take walks around this gorgeous historic property, or just sit on the cottage verandah and soak up the atmosphere. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and directed us to the points of interest on the property. Deb even encouraged us to raid her luscious vegie garden! This offer was too good to resist.
