'Captain Ron met us to check in. Very nice and helpful. The boat is docked in a private, peaceful area. You can hear some distant traffic noise and occasional faint train, but otherwise very quiet. The boat is older, with ongoing repairs and painting, but was clean and cozy. Has a large, full shower with hot water and a toilet that is similar to RV toilets. 'The host was super responsive, polite, and gracious. It was a quiet neighborhood. This is the basement of an occupied home, so you can hear some, but no issues with excessive noise. Area was clean and welcoming. I shared this with the host, but there was no fridge. Latoya gave me access to hear wine chilling unit almost immediately to meet my needs- so appreciated. I would need a "real fridge," but would otherwise stay againThanks, Latoya! '

'My wife and I came to visit for her birthday. We had a great time and the house was great for this purpose. Everything was clean and the location was great for venturing to different parts of town easily and quickly.A heads up to visitors (and nothing the host can fix), locals speed down the street in front of the house. Be advised if you come with kids, and keep pets on a short leash. '

The only thing that was an issue was parking for three cars forced us into the neighbors area on the street since the drive way was inconvenient and off a main road. The yard gate was loose and off centered which was solved by us wrapping rope to prevent our dogs from leaving but may be an issue for less prepared individuals.'

The front porch is great for morning coffee, and the quaint backyard was a lovely place for dinner. The home has everything you need; we’ll definitely consider staying again if we are in the area!'

'This place was perfect for us! Awesome bike trails, great dock for fishing, perfect distance from Richmond and Colonial Williamsburg. Very clean, terrific shower and very comfortable bed. We needed to recharge and this did it for us!'

'We found this to be an attractive remodeled old home in a neighborhood that has for years been in a declining state. Commendably there are efforts to reverse this trend seen in the surrounding area including this homes remodel. However, the atmosphere is threatening. We were awoken at 3AM by high powered weapons discharge very close by. The neighborhood is mostly run down, and a trash pile was heaped up in the rear of the properties across from us.
