'I did feel like safety was a big concern here and they did well with that. However I feel like they don’t trust the guests and maybe there’s reasons why. But I had to ask for ice and the desk guy had to get it. It was like a clump of chizzled ice that really did no good for me. There was absolutely nothing at the breakfast I could eat. On. Good note, the room was clean.'

'Our stay was great because it was clean and staff was friendly and professional. The area seemed to be suburbanize (landscape was rural with some areas pristine and serene!) The pool was clean and temperature was perfect! The only fault I saw was the water line on the bathroom door. My husband thought they may have had a flood in the past, but it didn't interfere with the cleanliness of our room/bathroom. Yes, we will stay here when we return to visit the family!'

'Rooms were GREAT, the staff was GREAT, breakfast was GREAT. Pool was under renovation so can not speak to that. ONLY negative thing I have to say is the TV guide - impossible to use, they offer lots of channels but good luck on actually finding something to watch via the guide - ended up endlessly scrolling channel by channel to see what was on.'

'This property is not handicapped accessible, it smells so bad I instantly got a headache. We checked out 20 minutes after checking in due to the smell and other very poor reasons, hotel said we stayed for the entire stay and not wanting to give a refund. Locals also stated this location has had many issues involving law enforcement to be present. Do not recommend!!!!'

'Not right off the exit; but small town feel was nice. The The Stables Inn was on main street in historic Salem, Ohio. The inn was clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and did their job well. I would stay again!'

'The place was nice. I didn’t spend much time there, just a few hours of sleep for four nights. The staff was very friendly and understanding. The guests were very nice as well. I definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the same area. Yes, the rooms are dated, but it didn’t matter to me.'

'Breakfast was very well done. The staff doing breakfast was very nice and knew peoples names which was very nice to hear. The room was clean. My coffee pot didnt work and they changed it out but that one didnt work either. They were helpful but after the 2nd coffee pot it was not worth the headache. It was a safe location and convenient for where I was going.'

'Had to ask them 2x to clean the room then when they did they didn’t replenish the towels or water. I had to smog to the front desk and ask for towels. Then the next day there was a huge bus taking 8 parking places instead of parking in the lot next door.'

'The room smelled of smoke. There was mold in the bathroom and a dirty towel lying on the floor. The property was a mess - dark and grown up in weeds. There was a hole in the wall and the cabinets were taped shut. The bathroom cieling was caving in and had water damage.'

'DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is filthy, reeks of smoke, and potentially has bed bugs (we didn’t see anything, but we felt bugs crawling on us). We didn’t even bother staying the night. We checked out after a couple hours.'

'Internet wouldn’t work in room or lobby, elevator not working, stair wells dirty, has ants, paper thin walls. Breakfast just ok. Refillable soaps in bathroom are a breeding ground for bacteria. Room smelled musty. Stains on bedding.'

'As soon as you walk in, there is an old dingy odor. When we got in the room the furniture was stained and or damaged. There was no remote control in the room. When I called down to the front desk, toe very helpful and friendly young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and brought up a remote control within minutes. We were third and went right to sleep. When we woke up, I was brushing my teeth and there was a huge bug in the drain of the sink, causing me to get sick. We immediately left...
