KooKooKaChoo is a thing of beauty! This stunning home is bright, beautiful, and brimming with amenities from the hot tub and fire pit to the private lakefront and dock. Located along the shores of Deep Creek Lake, KooKooKaChoo boasts a coveted location along quiet cove waters for a setting steeped in serenity. You'll love enjoying morning coffee out on the massive oversized deck, the sparking lake and swaying trees before you. Throughout the many spacious and well-appointed rooms, you'll find many spots to come together with loved ones from the large dining room table to the lower level game room and so much more. Inside and out, this is truly a home built for coming together.

Location Features: This home is located just down the mountain from many of Wisp Resort's activities! Come Winter, Wisp's mountaintop location is located less than 5 minutes away, as well as Wisp's Lodestone Golf Course and the Adventure Sports Center International (ASCI), which contains an amazing manmade whitewater rafting course, right on the mountain!

Dog-Friendly Notice: Maximum of two dogs per reservation. A $175/non-refundable fee will be added for each dog. Dogs should be well-behaved, trained, and friendly; dogs with a history of aggression or destruction are not permitted. In order to comply with many of our home's rental insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned for all rentals, regardless of individual training and temperament. If you are planning to bring a dog, please reach out to us upon booking to discuss your dogs breed to get final approval from our staff.

The 'host' was a small-ish rental agency, Red Barn. They were excellent communicators. The house was very well equipped - all you need to bring is food, drink, and yourselves.

Lots to love here, and some room for improvement. The house is comfortable, really great layout for 2-3 families, nice big cook's kitchen, laundry and pantry. Linens were clean, and beds and baths were comfy. The outside spaces, including multilevel deck, path, steps, and dock, were in good shape and maintained. The frontage is nice, swimming off the pier is deep (even adults did not touch bottrom off the end of the pier) and fresh visual clarity to about 18").The house is clearly a turnkey rental and has been for a while, which is evident in the kitchenwares (bring your own can opener and cooking knives), the grills, and the general top level clean but underlying...filth seems like too harsh a word but the upholstered furniture, rugs, carpeting, tile/grout floors in mud room and baths, and wood floors in the living spaces are desperately overdue for a proper cleaning. Honestly, a lot is probably past cleanable. The management company was responsive when we asked for a broom.One last suggestion - household products should be stocked. Trash bags, toilet paper, handsoap, paper towel, dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, and a fresh sponge. Those line items shouldn't be on the guest to pack.With a good cleaning and updates to items in need of replacement, we would choose this house again.

Wonderful property. House fit our needs perfectly. Great location. Someone boating (we are guessing) hit the dock with a boat and cause it to need repair. Response was quick and fixed it for our needs.The only issue was the blades of the ceiling fan in the bedroom on main floor. It was in desparate need of a good dusting, not sure about the other ceiling fans.

We throughly enjoyed every aspect of this property - waterfront , beautiful views, nice outside spaces ! Very family oriented yet still well decorated and the amenities inside were perfect - a pool table , games - 2 fireplaces - one a wood burning stove - furniture was comfortable! We had a wonderful weekend. The house was just the right size for our group. Very clean and well maintain. We can't wait to book Kookookachoo for our next get together. When I booked this, the listing on VRBO, stated 4 king bed and 1 queen. We actually had 3 king beds and 2 queens. We had a one minor issue. We had a leak under one of the bathroom sinks, called the service and they sent maintenance out right away and the leak was fixed within the hour.Overall, we would book this property, again.

Great family getaway

Booked this for my husband, and I and our adult children, No little kids. The room accommodations were perfect, bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen was well appointed. There was everything we needed to cook and eat at home. Other places we’ve stayed, the kitchens were an afterthought with minimal pots, pans, serving/mixing bowls, utensils, etc. This had everything. The living areas we also well thought out for groups to be hanging out in several locations inside and outside so you are not on top of each other.

Perfect Winter Home

Total of 10 adults for a couples trip Friday through Monday and this house was perfection. Our original plan was to go to Wisp on Saturday to ski and tube. House was so comfortable that we opted to just relax and watch movies all day. As the chef of the group I really appreciated the fully stocked (appliance/utensilwise) kitchen. Mixing bowls, bakeware, cutting boards, various knifes, servicing bowls, keurig, blender, food processor and the list goes on. We brought charcoal in the event the gas grill wasn’t working but both were functional. Due to the snow we did not use the fire pit but the hot tub was perfect. Property management was great, prompt, and responsive. House was very clean. We plan on coming back!!
