This is definitely a budget hotel. When we pulled up, I wanted to leave. However, we took the time to have a look at the room before we checked in. Very basic but 2 queen beds and clean. We had to go to the restaurant to get ice and an extra towel and overnight we ran out of toilet paper and realized there was no more. Luckily it wasn't a problem! When you ask the owner for things (it seems like it's almost a one man show in the evening/morning) he was very accommodating and attended to us as soon as he could. For example, I asked for cream/milk in the morning and he gave me creamers and a cup of real milk. The breakfast was awesome: cooked to order, choice of four items (of 2 eggs, 2 ham, bacon, pancake, etc) and choice of one drink (including milk and juice -decent sized cups too). So for $76 we got an overnight stay and three really decent breakfasts. Definitely a score for the budget conscious!
Plus, we were speaking with the owner as we finished our breakfast and he asked about our plans. He highly encouraged us to go to Dinosaur Provincial Park because it's only 40 km away. We decided to take his advice and are so glad we did. Would I stay here again? For an overnight, not if I was to stay for a few days.
