'Zagame’s House has a good energy, and the staff are genuinely warm, helpful, and welcoming. I appreciated the comfort of the room, especially the large king bed, which made for a pleasant stay. That said, I think honesty matters. While the hotel is enjoyable and well run, I would not personally describe it as a true boutique hotel. 'Great place to stay, right across the Queen Vic Market. My room had a kitchen, so it was perfect to go get some veggies and proteins at the market. Also, tram stops super close to where I had to work and to the city centre. Lots of great Asian restaurants close by. I stayed for 17 nights and very pleased with my stay! '

'The photos of the room were very misleading for size and light. The room was also very dank and the aircon / ventilation gave a very mouldy and poor air quality to the space. Cleanliness was ok but, has bare minimum to pass a sheet change and put out towels become the markers of top quality city stay? The actual aesthetic and locality of the hotel is good and great access to cafes and bars. All walkable distance. If this kind of feedback actually leads to improvements then great. '

'Great overall stay! Did find the bathroom sink far too small though and each time using it would need to mop up the water on the floor. Breakfast was excellent at the Venom Brewery. One suggestion would be to get a professional coffee machine. Found coffee to be sub par for Melbourne standards. Enjoyed tasting some great beers and loved the spicy wings. Will definitely stop in again next time in Melbourne.'

'While the location is convenient, the cleanliness of our room was appalling. It was extremely dusty—from the bed and shelves to the carpets and upholstery. The furniture was visibly stained, and we even found crumbs from the previous guest on the chairs. Most shockingly, the floor was filthy; it clearly hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned, as it was covered in dust, crumbs, and old coffee stains. This level of neglect is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. We expected far better standards.'
