Port Melbourne is uber cool inner bayside Melbourne. It’s perfect for this large, light filled warehouse style home with a New York loft feel but with a distinctly rustic Australian twist. There’s the quirky corrugated iron shower, the bush barn doors and the displayed Aussie beach gear. Queen Master Bedroom + bathroom, King Bedroom + single bed & Ensuite, Queen bed Studio + Bathroom, Media Room + double sofa bed. Three Bathrooms! Well equipped kitchen, Huge vaulted living room. Courtyard + BBQ.

Located in Stokes Street, this eclectic home sits in the heart of popular Port Melbourne with its many shops, cafes, restaurants, beaches and the old port precinct that’s now a busy ferry terminal. Port Melbourne is famous for having a pub on nearly corner and there are seven great ones well within staggering distance. Parks, playgrounds and walking paths surround. Public transport is nearby. Parking is right out front. Everything is convenient, close and at hand.

The house is a large, light filled, rustic warehouse style home with first floor height exposed brick walls, massive recycled timber beams, cavernous ceilings and a central staircase with vaulted fly over landing. Architecturally it’s bold and different being filled with a quirky collection of objects and artwork that gives the chic New York loft feel but with a distinctive Australian take and twist.

The house features extensive use of recycled and repurposed building materials which provides a natural, relaxed, homely feel. Original timber doors, gates and windows feature throughout. The timber beams are reused from an old bridge. Gone is garish glitz and glam.

Non allergenic pillows, soft luxurious organic / bamboo cotton sheets and hotel quality towels are provided throughout. Complimentary natural toiletries and hairdryers are supplied.

The queen Master Bedroom, located upstairs, has an expansive north facing feature arched window, antique wardrobe, its own bathroom with quirky Aussie water tank like corrugated iron shower, a deep claw leg luxury bath, a vanity table and chairs.

Bedroom Two, also upstairs, is a street facing king bedroom with tree canopy outlook. It has a king bed, second single bed/couch, its own ensuite, antique wardrobe and chair.

The Studio, with queen bed and striking garden outlook is an ideal peaceful get away located off the courtyard and separate from the house. It has its own indoor-outdoor ensuite with skylight roof and internal cascading grape vines. Original collectables decorate these generous spaces.

The Media Room has a large Smart TV with Netflix. The room can be used as a fourth bedroom with its double sofa bed. This room has a distinctive nautical feel suitable for Port Melbourne with artworks and displayed Australian beach essentials. Books, games, puzzles and interesting collected objects fill the room.

Adjacent and located under the stairs is a handy laundry complete with washing machine and dryer. A drying rack, ironing board and iron is provided with a washing line in the rear courtyard.

There is no shortage of bathroom amenities for a large household with four toilets, four basins, three showers and a bath all served by continuous hot water.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the needed appliances and implements for cooking pleasure. A well-stocked pantry makes preparing meals easy. The central island bench makes for food preparation ease and a place to sit around and chat whilst cooking.

Whether it is entertaining or larger scale dining the house has generous indoor and outdoor dining options.

The meals and living room look out on the courtyard garden with large glass rear doors that enable the delightful bay breezes to gently waft in.

The spacious rear living room and meals areas sits under an expansive vaulted ceiling with feature timber beams. Nothing is small and understated in this large, light filled cavernous living space.

The lounge area has a comfortable couch and two armchairs with coffee tables. A large screen Smart TV with Netflix is provided for guest’s enjoyment.

The outdoor, sunny north facing courtyard with its stunning cascading purple wisteria and plantings is perfect for el fresco dining using the gas barbeque.

With the current uncertainty of making travel arrangements due to Covid-19 more flexible conditions to the Strict Airbnb Cancellation Policy as advertised for this property are offered as follows:
1. A full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away.
2. A full refund for cancellations made before 30 days of the check-in date.
3. A 25% refund for cancellations made within 15 to 30 days before check-in.
4. A 50% refund for cancellations made within 8 to 14 days before check-in.
5. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
6. If the booking is cancelled, reposted and then rebooked by another guest any amounts received from a subsequent booking over the cancelled period will be refunded in full less a 20% administrative fee. Refunds from rebooking receipts will be paid directly to a nominated account.

Guests with bookings are advised to notify any changes to their booking plans as soon as possible.

Feel free to use the pantry supplies.
Kindly replace any items finished for the convenience of the next guest.

PET FRIENDLY:
Well behaved pets are welcome.
Pets must be kept off the furniture and beds.
Guests are required to keep their pets quiet and under control at all times.
Guests are responsible for their pets, their waste and any damage caused.
The courtyard should not be used for pets toileting. Please use the nearby parks.

LOSS AND BREAKAGES:
Things can break, get lost or go wrong.
If they do, please advise any loss, mishap or problem as soon as possible.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATION:
Please consider the environment and turn off lights, power and heaters when not in use.
Please use the water wisely and try to minimise waste.

FACIAL BLEACHES:
Please be careful not to use the towels with any skin treatments that may cause bleaching.

RUBBISH:
Kitchen general waste and recycle bins are located under the island bench.
Additional bin liner bags are supplied in the kitchen draw with the wraps.
Council general and recyclable waste bins are located in the bin shed next to the driveway at entrance to the house.
Bin collection by the council is early Friday morning.
Please wheel the bins to the footpath on Thursday and return then to the bin shed after collection.

LAUNDRY:
The laundry is located under the stairs with access from the Media Room.
The laundry contains a trough, washing machine, dryer, drying rack and step ladder.
A pull-out washing line is located in the rear courtyard.
Please be very careful using the step ladder.

STORED ITEMS:
Household cleaning products are in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.
The internal and external brooms, hand broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board are in the cupboard near the door in the Media Room.

LUGGAGE STORAGE:
Luggage can be stored on the top of the cupboards in the bedrooms.

LINEN, TOWELS AND BLANKETS:
Extra bed linen and towels are provided for guests use and stored in a draw in each bedroom.
Spare blankets are kept in the wardrobe of each bedroom.
Extra T-towels are stored in a draw in the kitchen.
Please wash and replace any extra linen or towelling used during the stay prior to departure.

EMERGENCY:
Dial 000 in an emergency to access police, fire and ambulance services.
A fire extinguisher, first aid kit and torch are stored under the sink in the kitchen.

CHECK IN AND OUT:
Check in: Usually after 2pm. or as arranged.
Check out: Usually before 11am. or as arranged.
Wherever possible an early Check-In and/or late Check-Out will be accommodated.
Please advise if they are required.

ON DEPARTURE:
1. Please check that no personal items have been left behind.
2. Please clear the fridge of any unwanted items.
3. Please wash any dishes and/or stack the dishwasher.
4. Leave the beds as is for changing by the cleaner.
5. Place any used towels, mats and face towels in the bathrooms for collection.
6. Close and lock the windows and doors on departure.

Family short holiday

We are a family of 7 coming to Melbourne for both the football and to see Beetlejuice. We had never stayed in Port Melbourne before and weren't disappointed. The home was within easy access to the tram, 5-10min walk (10min trip from Southern Cross stn), shops, cafes and the ocean. The home was as described and we enjoyed our stay.
