Everything was absolutely fine. The staff I dealt with were vert helpful. The room was comfortable, even for four nights and everything worked well. The wifi was especially good. I chose this place for three reasons: close enough to walk into the city (an easy five minutes from Fitzroy Gardens), the free parking on offer, and the price. All exceeded expectations. Yes, the carpet on the stairs is a bit worn, but don’t let that put you off.

We stay here as so convenient for the AO tennis. I keep hoping each year that there will have been a revamp of the whole place. The garden does not look like it is ever done. The bath towels were at least thick compared to thread bare ones last time. It really needs a total renovation.

I liked it was handy to trams, parks and 10 to 15. Min walk to city. Just needs a little tlc or reno in the room we were in. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely location and good price. Very misleading description of the ‘deep soak’ bath. It was tiny and the plastic moulding moved when standing in it. Couldn’t stand up under the shower head.

The property was well located in easy walking distance to trams and Melbourne city. A key feature for me was the free parking (Needs to be booked in advance). The bed covers were stained, the pillows were several years passed their used by date and the mattress had a visible blood stain through the mattress. The entire property was in need of a makeover. There was also a dusty pair of panties in the bathroom cupboard. There was black mould in the bathroom and the whole apartment smelled musty despite us arriving to open balcony doors. The air-conditioning helped remove the smell although the air conditioner dripped water into the bedroom lamp, we put out a bowl! The apartment had a microwave and useable working small fridge. It was the family apartment with two bedrooms. Interestingly most of the set was for four people but we only had two coffee cups and one fork?!? We had a neighbour who returned drunk at 3am, got into a fight with his mate and then drunk dialled his ex-wife, talking to her until 5am. Nicole, you have the patience of a saint. I could her every word from his side and half of her conversation from his phone through the wall. I have spent over 20 years in the military and over 1,000 nights out field, this apartment was better than only some of my bush time. Fortunately I was with three of my kids so we pretended we were camping. Had my wife come with us we would have rightly had to find alternate accommodation. Not the location for a romantic getaway.

The display pillows were old and tired and did not match anything in the room, the cushion on the chairs were stained. The carpet in the room was stained. I cupboard door in the bathroom had the out skin falling off. The cutlery was an assortment and not matching. The carpet from the front entrance to the first floor room had holes and mismatched patches.

Very pleasant at reception. The property was comfortable and in easy access to where we needed to be. Good value, but dated. No lift for upstairs property. Rooms not serviced over the long weekend (Kings Birthday weekend) but reception happy to help with anything we needed.

Older rooms but clean, gentleman at counter very pleasant, great location especially if wanting MCG and close to tram and train stops. Short 10-15 walk into city centre. Good room for families.

I booked two rooms 5 and 6 we stayed in room 5 was dirty it had someone else dirty undies and clothes under the bed shower didn’t work properly and no hot water, I would not stay there again nor will I be recommending it to other people.

Super close to MCG in nice quiet street. Great communication. Photos on website don’t represent the actual condition of the building. Water damage evident to kitchenette and bathroom. Bed had a frame that was so squeaky every time we rolled over that a proper sleep was impossible. With some renovations and love this could be a grand old building.
