They were painting/upgrading the place and our room had a couple minor things unfinished. The woman at the front desk was very nice, helpful and friendly. This kind of pleasant professionalism makes a difference.

Even though I was the only guest at the front desk and had booked ahead, it took me more than 30 min to get my room. As a weary traveler, I book ahead to avoid staff scrambling to find a room. When I finally got the key card to my room, it did not work. The staff did not believe me and made me walk back with her again to check. I had to wait even more while she struggled to find a room. This is definitely not the Marriott experience.

The hotel location worked well for our needs. The front desk staff was friendly and very welcoming and our first floor room was easy for my elderly mom and surprisingly quiet. The negative was we stayed for 2 days, 3 nights and our room was never cleaned and linens not replaced. I did get some towels from the front desk and was told the first day, that rooms get cleaned every other day. This surprised me. Also, requested an early wake up call, and I know it was kindly setup up, but no wake up call. I later found that our room telephone did not have a dial tone so we did mention this at check out. Overall, a good stay. Beds and pillows comfortable.

The hotel is under interior renovations; I know it needs to be done some time but still. Indoor pool closed was closed. Coffee maker in the room didn’t work but was replaced the next day. Not their fault, but street construction was also taking place; barrels everywhere and difficult to see entrance. Staff was excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean.

The rooms were stuffy and if you have a sinus problem don't go there. Poor circulation. The shower had a really bad smell coming from the drain.

The room was to small for the size of the beds and furniture. Very little space to move around especially after you got your luggage in the room. AC had to be on or off. Thermostat didnot work properly. Refrigerator would not get cold enough and to small could not put very much in it. Mattresses were way to hard. No clocks in the room. Sofa bed had no sheets on it. Just a small blanket. The room was certainly not worth the amount charged for it. I have stayed in many Courtyard by Marriot hotels. They were always very nice. This one was terrible. Denise Larson

Nice place, but...
Customer service was very good, friendly staff, clean room and comfortable. The fridge did not keep anything cold, or cool for that matter. The A/C couldn't get down to 65 at night, and lost hot water the second and third night. Got in each night after work about 9 + pm, so no I didn't call about anything, just wanted to sleep. I did mention these things to the gal at the service desk, when I checked out, she said something about adding points somewhere, I don't know what that was all about
