'This property is along a road/driveway that has a few more houses - great for multiple groups that want to be close but not share the same house. There is beautiful hiking directly off the property and it's close to all the things we wanted to do. The owner was also super gracious - a freak storm hit the area and all the power went out (including WiFi) and roads were shut down (rare) - he helped us from afar by texting regular updates and helping us navigate our way home (w/o gps). 'Love this place and would stay here again. Everything is renovated beautifully. We loved sipping coffee while watching the hummingbirds outside the window. The Murphy bed was comfortable as well as the main bed. We were incredibly bummed that the fog never lifted during our stay. The water is RIGHT THERE, but we never saw it. Location is great, close to ft Bragg and Mendocino. Of note, we felt weird taking a shower or washing dishes because it is plastered everywhere about how bad the drought...

'This cottage was a wonderful way to enjoy the area during the day and retreat to quiet a bungalow at night. We’d catch the sunset out past pudding creek and head back to the warmth and serenity of the cottage. A great place to sip morning coffee, read a book, and listen to music. It is clean and well appointed with towels, linens, and kitchen supplies. The heater is very efficient in warming up too! Spencer was very communicative - checking in and out was a breeze. 'We have been coming to Mendocino for 20 years and this was one of the top places we have stayed. You cannot beat the view (we were able to see whales from the deck!!) We had the best time just hanging out in the cottage and enjoying the sound of the ocean and the stars at night. Can’t wait to go back.'

'Perfect location. Not a place to stay if you have mobility issues. You have to walk in from the street where you have space to park one car. The bathroom is three steps up from the living space, and of course, the bedroom is up the spiral staircase. There is a sofa bed in the living area that folds out into a bed for those who can't make it up the stairs. The kitchen really isn't a kitchen, think more along the lines of what you would get in a motel room...basic small fridge, microwave, coffee...

'This is a new place… in the property where Blackberry Inn was located. It is 2 minutes from town and this location can’t be beat. The grounds are great, and once this place is finished, I would say it would be the best place to stay. We are ‘old’ groupies from the heritage house days, but it has changed and not for the better. Mendo Bungalows will be the ‘ place to be’. '
