Ik ben twee jaar weg geweest van deze site zoals ik op andere sites was, maar ik ben erg blij dat ik in 2019 terugkwam op Home Away.

Er is nog veel meer toe te voegen, maar u zult vinden wat u nodig heeft om de beste vakantie ooit te hebben. U zult blij zijn met deze cottage aan het meer.

Ik heb zojuist een annulering gehad voor 5 augustus tot 8 augustus, dus ik heb mijn prijs met 100 per nacht verlaagd van 5 augustus tot 9 augustus.

Hebben ook de prijs met 100 verlaagd voor 12 augustus tot 16 augustus.

Deze 62 hectare grote afgelegen woning van water en bos is een stap terug naar eenvoud met talloze voorzieningen. Ons huisje is prive, 14 voet van het meer dat u verleidt om te zwemmen en kanoën en peddelen onze nieuwe kajak.

Morning Mist Cottage bestaat al 20 jaar en wordt steeds beter. De normale prijs is 349,00 voor vier gasten plus belasting. Het huisje en het stapelbedhuis bieden plaats aan 10 gasten of 11, afhankelijk van hoe gasten hun slaap regelen. Elke extra gast na vier is 10. 00 per nacht per gast.

Dit huisje is gerenoveerd met alle toeters en bellen; nieuwe dokken, 10 x 10 water vlot, kano's met reddingsvesten, een nieuwe kajak, brandhout, buiten vuurplaats en Geo Dome, schommels en avontuur in het bos voor kinderen. Alles is inbegrepen met ceder sauna, therapeutisch diep bad met jetmassage, volledig uitgeruste keuken, BBQ, stenen binnenhaard, propaan buitenhaard en onze nieuwe ronde houtgestookte vuurplaats. Veel ruimte om te bewegen en te doen op dit terrein.

Het meer is goed om te zwemmen, meestal tegen 1 juni en ik sta ook bekend als gasten om te zwemmen in het Victoria Day-weekend. We hebben een nieuw gebouwd prachtig vlot. Dit huisje is uniek voor Nova Scotia met "nooit eerder gesneden" hardhout en dennen torenhoog 80 voet lang. Het huisje en het stapelbed huis zijn op een prive 62 hectare groot op prachtige Lake Deception Shelburne County Nova Scotia.

Of u nu een alleenstaande bent, een groep, een stel of een gezin met kinderen, deze prachtige retraite zal iedereen vermaken en verrukken.

Op slechts twintig minuten afstand bevinden zich ongerepte, witte zandstranden die het geluid en de geur aankondigen van zout water dat met de getijden stroomt, de River Hills Golf Club en het historische stadje Shelburne met lekker eten.

A gem of a retreat, 5 stars!!

What a find! This beautiful property just north of Shelburne NS, in middle Ohio nestled away from the wide world on deception lake was an unbelievable find. The last property on the winding road you a greeted by view of the lake and wonderful wrap around deck. The cottage was clean, spacious, comfortable beds and allows you to be removed from the world with all the comforts of the modern world. A beautiful fire place, two outdoor fire pits, Warf onto the water and sand beach. Weather you are relaxing in the Sunna or Hot tub, out on the lake on the kayaks or canoe or in the lake swimming. Everything about this place is about convivence and class. From the specular sunrise in the morning and sunsets at night. I highly recommend this property for your next family or personal getaway. I know I will be back to misty meadows.

Lovely peaceful secluded location

Very quiet cabin by the lake. Lots of water sport equipment was provided. Very clean and cute. Looks just like the pictures. Friendly host was at the cabin when we arrived. My one pup was obsessed with the chipmunks. We also saw quite a few deer and ducks. Hubs saw beavers. Husband tried out the sauna and said it was top notch. Great little compound for a family gathering.

Everything was awesome. Absolutely beautiful property with lots of privacy. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the lake. The water was beautiful but the lake was very shallow. Lovely lakehouse

Beautiful spot, very clean and comfortable. Property is secluded and surrounded by lake and forest. Very peaceful. Shelburne is about a 15-20 min drive, for groceries and anything you may need. Stayed with my teen, tween, husband, and elderly parents. We were all very comfortable and happy to spend time together in such a nice spot. Photos are very accurate. Maybe bring water shoes as the lake is a bit rocky, but shallow for any little kids. Pauline was a great host, easy to communicate with.

Amazing Family Getaway

Beautiful cottage and property. We totally enjoyed the private and peaceful setting. The lake was perfect, Such a great place to rest and enjoy nature. We saw five deer in total, a mother and two babies swam across the lake. Beavers at dusk, squirrels and a couple of bald eagles. We would highly recommend Morning Mist as a must go to vacation site. The cottage name Morning Mist lives up to its name. A truly 5 star cottage.

What the doctor odered.

This place is amazing. Pictures really don't do it justice. So clean, inside and out. The gardens and bird feeder attracted the hummingbirds. The view!!!! The dock!!! All 10 of us felt the stress melt away. We swam in the lake. You might need water shoes if your not use to rocks for a ways in. The canoe and kayaks were alot of fun. The kitchen and dinning table fit us all. Everything you need. We used the propane fire pit and the bbq. Thank you for all the propane. We had a chance to have a wood fire. Thank you for all the fire wood too. The town of Shelburne is not a far drive. Lucky for me I had others do the errands while I sat on the dock. lol. No one wanted to leave. It must be gorgeous in the fall.

Perfect family vacation

We are so lucky to have found Morning Mist cottage. Our family of 5, along with our friends family of 5 plus their dog have just had the best 4 days enjoying this little piece of paradise. The lake was so private, and Pauline provides multiple kid/adult kayaks,life jackets and a canoe. Definitely recommend bringing some big floaties to relax in,on the lake. The beach area near the dock was also great, and the dog loved the freedom to run around and go in and out of the water. We chose to sunbathe on the huge deck, it was so spacious and we all had room to soak up the sun. The fire pit is huge and Pauline provides more than enough wood and supplies. We had one day of rain showers, but still enjoy the lake and the sauna was another perfect added touch. Our kids absolutely adored the bunkhouse! Another piece of the great character of this property. Inside the cottage, we had everything we needed. Clean, well stocked, spacious, and as advertised. Honestly, the photos don’t do this property justice. The sun rises on the water and we watched the sun set from the water/floating dock every night. 4 adults and 6kids and not once did it feel like we were cramped or needed space from each other. Pauline was very easy to communicate with and was very prompt at getting back to me regarding the one question I had. Adults and kids all agree, we had the best family summer vacation . We hope to be back again next year!

Birthday Getaway!

We booked this beautiful cottage online we were very pleased with the location, the cleanlines and the beautiful lake! It was a peaceful place for my daughters 25th Birthday! We swam,fished, went canoeing (don't tell anyone I fell in at the dock) and panicked until i was told to Stand Up lol). I would recommend this cottage to anyone! We made a lot of memories! Morning Mist Retreat

This is a beautiful property, we enjoyed the outdoor fireplaces, chairs, lights, etc. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen/living room is amazing. A great place for people to gather!!

My family and I stayed here for a week this past august, lake deception is a perfect name for this cottage. Unsteady dock, broken mirror, broken sliding door, outside light hanging by wires etc the owner states a beach area on property well there isn’t one. Hard beds cheap hand soap. The list goes on. For the cost she charges you would expect higher quality. As people who have owned a cottage in the muskoka this cottage is not even up to par. Do your self a favour and find something better.

Total Escape

Pauline has created a comfortable and authentic Canadian experience with her lakeside cottage. The cottage is well provisioned and considered and unlike many rentals, feels like a home rather than a rental. Clearly she and her family have loved their cottage and you feel that, making it so much more special. The lake is gorgeous and the many areas to sit and relax are varied. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather so the various water toys and swimming platform were amazing. A really lovely property that created happy memories for my husband and I and our daughter and son in law who live in London, UK. If I were to invest in the property further, I would suggest an outdoor area that is protected from the rain and would offer a bit of shade during the day. Also - our prolific Canadian mosquitoes can be a challenge so having a screened in area for the evenings would be a huge benefit. We did love the gas fire pit in the evenings. The two canoes may also be on their last legs as they do leak. A couple of stand up paddle boards? These are merely suggestions but we had such a fabulous escape from our normal lives and hope to return again to this incredibly beautiful spot. Thank you Pauline!

Spectacular location!

Relaxing retreat

The place was pretty and overall great experience renting this property. A great to place to go away and enjoy the lake and nature. With great amenities like a fire place and sauna to make it more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this to couples and families.
