'Uninterrupted views of the ocean. Loved the barrel fire pot on the veranda. Didn't need it, but just lovely to be out there. Great place for an extended family to hang out, beachcombing, fishing or just sitting with a wine and a good book. Its got it all, and all the things you need if the weather gets wild and woolly.....didn't happen in our case. '

Overall was very quiet compared to other places we have stayed out. House keeping given time to vaccum between stays would be the only thing I would recommend other than that was a lovely stay.'

'I really like the Waterfront Wynyard hotel. Lovely spot, great rooms, and very cool service — plus you get lollies when you check out! They even have a few dog-friendly rooms (I don’t have a dog, but still a nice touch). It’s just a 2-minute walk to the local pub and The Vault, both with excellent food, and right next to an outstanding fish and chip shop. I stay here when I’m working in the North West.'
