'Great place to stay. Super clean and comfortable. We truly appreciated how much thought went into the room— especially the granola from their restaurant and the bag of ice in the freezer, even the glassware options were great to have. They seem to have thought of everything. We loved enjoying the fire pit before bed. We would definitely stay at the Alander again!'

'The pillows are terrible and need to be changed. Additionally the shampoo was terrible and the breakfast was nothing to desired.'

'The room was freezing cold for about a half hour when we got there but the heater worked well and eventually it warmed up. Room was large and clean. Parking was right in front of room. Wish the room had a full length mirror. People travel when they have an event to go to and we like to see how we look. The bathroom mirror sort of tilts down for a bit of an outfit check but a full length would have been great. Bed was comfortable and bedding was really nice! Guy who runs the place was very nice!...

'Easy to get to from I84. The hotel was more than adequate, could use some updating but a pleasant place to stay with a helpful staff. There were some really good restaurants in the surrounding area and a few historic places to visit. It's also not far from Poughkeepsie.'

'It was difficult to get into the room with two tricky combination locks. You can't watch any TV unless you know your streaming service passwords, no free TV. The coffee machine was plugged in but we couldn't figure out how to work it (no instructions available to read). The mattress was excellent and we slept well. Some might not like the train horns, but we didn't mind.'
