Peaceful Special Place
My husband and I stayed at Carolyn's adorable cottage for 4 nights this past weekend. The patio and Nordic Nook are such peaceful and relaxing spaces and the cottage is stunning. We walked to and around the lake twice. We are looking forward to another stay while we visit family in the area.

Excellent place to stay!!
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time! Everything was perfect and more than we could ever want in a place. We are local so this was a bit of a staycation for us and we were able to relax and have time together. It also allowed my husband to work in the Nordic nook while I had time to myself. Would love to stay here again!!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Cottage. "The Nook" is an additional detached space guests use to work & play -- inclusive to The Cottage. Take a nap or watch a favorite TV show or movie. Third stay at this charming location
Three stays say it all. I have stayed in many VRBO locations around the World and this one is in my top five. There are only two improvements I can think of 1. A better mattress or bed. 2. Snow removal at hours of normal human wake hours. Host is very helpful when it comes to check-in, check-out and additional information durning stay. This location is close to airport and has varied local shops that are fun to experience. Check out local hardware store.😊 Great visit and we will be booking this location again!

Thank you for the 5-star review and comments. The mattress is high quality and most guests post positive comments about it. To provide the "perfect" bed is nearly impossible but we really do pay attention to quality and comfort of all guests. Lucky you to stay during one of a few snowfalls this season, which is not a typical Minneapolis-St Paul winter! The snow removal service is appreciatively prompt but unfortunately we have little control over exactly when they come. They tend to service properties early so guests can get on their way in the morning. The most important thing is they show up and do a great job. Thanks again for being our guests and for your comments. We listen and will continue trying our best and welcoming you back.

What a gem!
Perfect, cozy oasis for our extended weekend getaway! Hygge styled to perfection. Great neighborhood and close to many attractions. Easy check in and out. Comfortable bed and great shower. Our host, Carolyn, left fresh cookies which were amazing. Highly recommend!

Close to airport
This was our second visit and as we already knew this was an excellent location we felt like we were walking into our second home. We love that it is located close to VA medical center and the airport. Wonderful neighborhood library, hardware store and post office. All we needed. Already booked our next stay.

The conveniences surrounding the property make it easy for guests to walk to grocery, liquor, library, the light rail, restaurants, bars and fun shops. The light rail is a quick ride to downtown, MSP, Mall of America and St Paul. Guests will also enjoy being close to Lake Nokomis, Minnehaha Park/Falls and our City of Lakes. Cozy peaceful retreat
I really enjoyed my several-day solo retreat at the Cottage in early Jan. It was the perfect, peaceful, cozy spot to reflect and refresh. The Cottage itself was the epitomy of hygge with cozy lighting and comforting conveniences and other touches. The neighborhood and area were easy and nice to walk and explore. And Carolyn was an incredibly thoughtful host. I hope to stay again in warmer weather so I can enjoy what looks to be a beautiful patio/garden area.

Delightful weekend
The Cottage is a cozy getaway spot for 1-2 people. Quiet neighborhood and a private driveway so you don’t have to worry about your car. A very good breakfast/lunch restaurant just a short walk away with several other restaurants in the area. Or do your own cooking in the kitchen. Good area to take walks. Very nice place - I’ll be back.

When you walk through the garden courtyard to the front door of the cottage, you’re already entranced by the herbs, berries, flowers and touches of zen. Walk into the cottage with a greeting of spa music on the tv, perfect temp for a hot summer day and a designer style that makes you feel like you’re at a 5* hotel. Carolyn has all the tools you need to feel at home — kitchen gadgets, bikes, ironing board, aroma diffuser … And if you need some alone-time, there’s a little studio across the courtyard with its own tv, fireplace and coffee station to read, make art, work or watch a movie. I have stayed here for one- to two-month visits for the last three or four years and I always feel like I’m coming home. Thank you Carolyn!

Cozy Urban Gem
My husband and I stayed in the cottage for three weeks while visiting friends and family in the twin cities. What a delightful and convenient spot to call home during our extended stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, offered an abundance of storage space, and there wasn’t an item, nor convenience overlooked! This lovely beautifully cared for property was again our base for a week long visit. The secluded and very private outdoor space complemented the clean, bright well decorated interior. The added private sitting room (The Nook) was a great place when one's partner needed a nap. The neighborhood is conveniently located with easy access to the metro freeways as well as the airport.

We are enchanted by this property. It is an amazingly comfortable, thoughtfully designed, beautifully appointed cottage in a quiet, friendly neighborhood near Lake Nokomis. The location is ideal for accessing excellent nearby walking trails and Minnehaha Falls. There also are several excellent restaurants and shops nearby. We were delighted with the absolute comfort of the Murphy bed and all of the other furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances throughout the space worked well. We also enjoyed the lovely private garden area with a gas fireplace and "The Nook" which offers yet another place to relax, watch TV, or enjoy an indoor gas fireplace. Carolyn, the owner, is gracious and responsive to any need or request. We cannot imagine ever finding a better place to stay in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. It is truly an exceptional "hygge haven".

What a find!
We were very surprised at this wonderful find in Minneapolis! Close the the airport, neighborhood that has everything you would need for your stay. Close to the VA hospital also if appointments is the reason for your visit. Easy access and nice separate space “The Nook” perfect for working or artist who need some space or privacy. Really fir us a absolute perfect location! Carolyn was needed for a small issue and she was quick to respond both via email and physically. So happy to have this sort of customer service. She has a wonderful slice of VRBO heaven in MSP!

I’ve stayed at the Cottage twice now. Once since the Nordic Nook was added. I used the space to paint and relax on a down day. I found it to be a very comfortable retreat in the city and your hostess makes sure you have everything you need during your stay. Soap & paper products included, as well as laundry! This was a nice & convenient touch! Quiet neighborhood makes you feel safe and you are only minutes away from lakes, the Minnehaha Falls, highways and restaurants. Location and Activities
Extremely clean. Welcoming entrance: key entry worked efficiently, soothing music playing, soft lighting illuminating the entire space. Flat terrain for biking and hiking. Walkable to: grocery stores, post office, library, bakery, restaurants, Lake Nokomis and its hiking path around the lake and connection to many other parks, and a bus stop just two blocks away with its connection to other buses and to METRO Light Rail. Easy drive or bike to restaurants and small businesses/shops beyond a mile or two of walking. Airport “noise” was not an issue at all. The cottage was quiet and serene. We stayed in January two days after several days of significant snowfall followed by a coating of ice on sidewalks and streets. The driveway was plowed and ready for our arrival. Most helpful to us were the brochures and maps, instructions, and lists of restaurants and other nearby amenities valuable to daily life, a successful stay, and to a new adventure.

Best VRBO stay ever!
Not only was this property extremely clean but it was beautifully decorated, right down to the adorable little birds placed throughout the home and the lavender infused water for the aromatherapy infuser!! Bed was comfy and warm. Perfect size with plenty of kitchen items to cook and eat with. I cannot express how helpful the owner was as well. Very quick to answer any questions and very kind. Comfy Tiny House In South Minneapolis
This property is a comfortable, relatively new detached back yard cottage in a well kept neighborhood near the airport. The furnishings and appliances were in excellent shape. Nice decorative touches and plenty of room. There is outdoor seating and a fire table for the not too cold nights. Check in was a breeze and Carolyn was available is we needed anything. We were able to check in a little early and check out late due to our flights, which was great. Several local stores and restaurants within walking distance, along with a lake. Very close to the airport, which does have the only downside to this property of some aircraft noise. It did not bother us at all, especially given the lack of flights at night but if you are very noise sensitive it might be an issue. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Fairytale land
This property is like a little fairy tail land. The cottage is decorated so sweetly and every space is used effectively and expertly in its design. You have all the comforts of home and more. Then, sit in the zen-like garden, grill or use the fire table in the outdoor space. Finally, “the nook” is like a little studio. If you need privacy from your mates, you’re working on a project or just plain working — it’s a great little refuge. Twinkle lights and candles complete the fairytale 🧚‍♀️ A great home away from home.

Clean, comfy, and cozy cottage
As an ikea fan I loved this tastefully and efficiently planned space. It was so well stocked (kitchen, bath, and laundry) that we lacked absolutely nothing. This quiet neighborhood is close to the airport but we heard no airport noise. We had easy access to highways making it simple to visit family stretched across the Twin Cities. One night we even returned to find fresh cut flowers on our doorstep. It was a very comfortable visit.

This cottage is exactly as advertised, and was incredibly cozy while still providing a space large enough to spread out and even have family & friends over either indoors or in the lovely outdoor garden area. Carolyn made the communication easy, and she was quick to respond to any requests. She even made sure that we were safe during a tornado warning by inviting us to shelter in her basement. I recommend this cottage without hesitation as it was very clean, well decorated, and close to everything in both Minneapolis and St. Paul.

I can't praise this property enough. Charming with everything you could possibly need. Great location with easy access. Caroline is by far the best property manager I have ever had. Easy to contact and fast response. I felt safe and secure as a single traveler.
