It is very easy to travel from there to the cities of Rome and Tivoli, but it is also a perfect place to fall back to after visiting these crowded places....To have a very cheap but good wine accompanied by a pizza and icecream at the local "piazza". 'The house in Castel St Elia is truly an authentic and unique place, the host is detail oriented, very accommodating and communicative. The house has everything you need, even a mini popcorn machine and dishwasher. We traveled with our dog and cooked dinners at the house and felt very comfortable. The view is amazing, so is access to town, many churches and hiking trails into the valley. If you are a true hiker you can take the 4.5km trail to Nepi which is the neighboring worth visiting.'
